letting go of 5 thousand vipers to seek out the snakes as their thoughts of negativity vibrate they will cover a 6 mile area they will be loose for 5 hours. their bites are very painful.
I know this song will bring out the rash of "Paul McCartney did it better statements," but can't you see that by recording it Paul is paying the ultimate tribute to it? Unless you're tone deaf you'll hear the roots of the Beatles in this.
Paul McCartney made a didderent arrangement and made this tune mean so much. I like his better, much better but, I do like this as well. Love the skiffel that so influenced the Beatles very much.
Thanks for posting this old rarity, the British cover of American Bobby Helms' single from early 1958. The lead guitar-work just has to be dear old Ernie Shears doesn't it?!
Thanks so much for posting this! I recently bought a Vipers compilation album with this on it and was thinking of posting it my myself, if no one else had.

McCartney's version is a near rip-off of Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game".

True everything you said. The Quarrymen too were a skiffle group after all.

Very Buddy Holly-ish and quite pleasant but McCartney's version on "Run Devil Run" takes it somewhere else entirely.

This is a good song, I like it, but McCartney's version is a lot better.
