  • 2wd come on man truck looks good but a 4wd twin ibeam front end will literally bolt into a 2wd truck iv done 2 of em it no harder by any means but looks good

  • @NissanTy thanks! yeah theres actually 2 versions, one for MAF (mass air flow) and one for SD (speed density)... i reused the intake on my swapped in 351.

  • i got 37" super swampers with a 351 and i get 12 to 14 mpg depending on my lead foot sometimes lol but my other 96 f150 is all stock with a 302 n only gets about 16 mpg both 4x4 ext. cab but i was told if i put throttle body spacers and a cold air intake id considerably raise that... anyone know how much truth is behind that?

  • @cornhuskerboy cold air intake will give you like 1 to 2 more mpg thats what it did for my 87 idk bout the throttle body spacers though

  • im running 33s on a 351 and get about 16-18 with a shitty transmission and stock exhaust

  • @sidescrollin really!? cuz im running 33s on a 302 with a rebuilt E4OD tranny and rebuilt 3.55 gears with a flowmaster dual exhaust and im averaging about 10-12mpg... i was thinkin about replacing my o2 sensors and maybe gettin a K&N.

  • what year is your truck? Sometimes 302s have worse gas mileage than 351s because they don't make as much power and so they get run up to higher rpms depending on how you drive.definitely replace your o2 sensors and see if you can pick up a cheap tune or chip. My uncle has a 96 351 with a catback and K&N and its got an idle problem so it gets like 10mpg...if your 02s are bad and new exhaust your air/fuel is prolly off and its killing your mpg.

  • for our year trucks, a chip is a waste of money, all they really do is advance the timing which you can do by simply turning the distributor... i run mine about 15 deg. BTDC

  • @degenerate727 not necessarily true. The computers in trucks don't have much leeway. So once you free up the intake and exhaust they sometimes run lean because the computer sometimes can't compensate. If thats the case 40 bucks on a chip is a good buy.

    But ya playing with the timing is a great way to get some free power.

  • sorry for the late reply, youtube locked my log in... yes im running stock grears lol have been for over 30K miles average 12 highway and 7 to 10 city i have a pair of axles with 4.56's that are waiting for install. also doing a SAS 4-link w/ coilovers

  • *update* blew the motor a few weeks ago, just getting around to pulling it out... what do y'all think of these options? bored out 302, 331 stroker, 347 stroker, bored out 351, or 408 stroker...

  • who cares if its 2x4 I have a locker in mine and i go through ruts some 4x4 cant. 4x4 with open differntials is just a 2x4 with un even power. 2x4 with a locker has an even amount of power sent to the rear wheels.

  • Trying to decide on a muffler. Super 44s or glasspacks. Got a 302 in my 93 F150. Bought it used, supposedly has flowmasters on it already, probably 50s. Sounds great, but a little mellow for my taste.

  • I put a K-N on my 94 302 and thought i got a pinch more power but the mileage dropped a bit too. Back then gas was cheap. JMHO

  • i actually picked up mileage, some, not much... IMO i think its over priced... but with a mild exhaust system, like i did have (flowmaster 50) the sound from the intake was pretty loud if i' put the pedal down

  • That paint job does not look new at all. headlights look stock. fender flares are cheap, custom gauges aren't expensive, headers are around $300 the rest of the exhuast is cheap, wiring is also cheap, power inverters are cheap, stereo* (lol) is nothing special, I bought a Pioneer cd player, 1200 watt amp, and dual bandpass pyle sub box with blue neons and dual 12 600 watt subs, for only $500 brand new everything, thats including wiring harness, and face plate.
