  • Hey, hope everything is going well. I had my surgery, taking 1 mg of Estradiol, which seems to be fine. Someone told me today, "Oh, don't take synthetic, take natural, blah blah blah." I said, "So you've been through this?" She said, "Oh, no, it's just what I read." Great. Someone who hasn't been through it. What do you take and did you have hormonal challenges? I seem to be fine, so don't wanna fix what isn't broken.

  • Thanks for the info. I'll be going in again to see my doc before surgery, which is the 16th. I'm actually READY. I mean, I guess you sort of have to be psychologically ready for this. But I really like my doctor. He did tell me that if I did not get my ovaries taken out, that they have a tendency to go haywire poster surgery, I decided on the full. I'm getting it done with the DaVinci robot. If you want to know more, just message me.

  • Dear Hanna,

Thanks again for posting your post surgery symptoms. Those are the things doctors don't really talk to you about ahead..

  • @Pezerella They don't! In fact, my doctor waited till after the surgery to reveal some major things to me. Not cool. But, everything seems to have worked out ok! I'm not sure if you were the one who asked about support groups---the only place I found when I was searching after my surgery was HysterSisters.

  • @sarkasm What did your doctor not tell you? I have gone to several doctors, and finally landed on one I saw 6 years earlier! I will see him again before the surgery, but that whole not getting shots or not having an IV.....mmmmmm...not cool. I can barely keep food down, let alone pills. I am getting a full hysterectomy done. Keep in touch. You're absolutely beautiful! Don't worry about your scars.

  • @liliodine Well for one thing, that I can recall, he waited till AFTER the surgery to tell me that it's possible for my ovaries to "die", shrivel up and stop working, I guess. Which sounds weird. I'm sorry you're feeling bad!! I hated feeling nauseous all the time! I hope you get some relief soon!

  • I'm thinking maybe you didn't get the IV pain drugs because your doctor doesn't give those for laparascopic hysterectomy. I did not have it done that way. They went through my c-section incision, so just the one big incision. Also, he took out my uterus AND cervix. So thankful that I had great drugs and 3 days in the hospital with the most attentive nurses a girl could ask for!

  • @shandi411 Glad you're doing better :) Why did they remove your cervix too?

  • How are you feeling these days?

  • @DBCrowns I've still been having some health issues, but I've been muddling through it :) I got a new job a few months ago that's been a HUGE improvement on my old job, so I've been trying to stay positive when I start feeling like poop.

  • thank you I was crying and you made me laugh. Considering a hystarectomy due to fibroids.

  • @nickilovemc :) Glad I could help, even if it was laughter! For me it was a no-brainer (to have the hysterectomy), but I've been very certain about my no-buns-in-the-oven policy for a long time! I hope you come to the decision that's best for you and that everything goes well!

  • THE GYNO IS HOT...HAHA .........WHAT THE........im booked in 2 weeks from today so nervous.. i think the nurse took your morphine herself.. morphine is suppose to go straight in the veins.. in australia we get a patient controlled drip for 2 days u can give yourself a shot every 5 to 10 minutes or something .. gee your TOUGH it gives me hope well done sweetpea.. look me up on facebook /kjjza id love to chat about your recovery

  • @kimbahoward Oh yeah, I got nothing, but looking back on it, it seems not so bad. I would have enjoyed it for sure though :) You will do just fine!! Good luck!

  • Thank you for this video. You saved my sanity. I just had this operation done and feel like I am about to crawl out of my skin, forget about walking or sitting. I had no idea. They did not inoculate me at all. Thx for being so honest and funny about all of it. You have a great sense of humor.

  • @pet31nm Thanks! I tried to stay positive about it, that's really all you can do! I hope you're feeling better? After a few weeks you should be feeling much much more healthy than you do now, so just keep taking those meds and try to stay positive! I wish you the best and send you positive thoughts for quick healing :)

  • How are you doing now... I really would like another up date video! How are your hormones, moods and THINGS?

I have horrible Poo craps now that last for up to 1 hour after going...I have givin birth 3 times so I know pain. And these Poo cramps are comparable. So I am feeling like the pain will be OK for me...I hope..

  • @BonBonSweets Well, I've been having other health problems lately (I've got a few videos about it, incidentally) so there's that, BUT hysterectomy-wise, I have been good :) I started to feel back to full capacity about 6-7 months after my surgery. At first I noticed the same cramps I would get when I ovulate (still ovulating) that come and go, but it's bearable. No problems with hormones, no menopause for a while, so other than the recent health mystery, I've been great! NO PERIODS!!!

  • lol im glad i watched this, thanks for that taking a shit warning!

  • @imbored2 It's imperative! I had another surgery recently and had the same issue, ugh it was no fun.

  • im suppose to have a partial this month and im so afraid, i have heard so many horror stories and side affects of the woman body after its done. I was wondering if sex feels different or your desire and menopause.

  • @koolwaterwoman There are a lot of scary stories out there, but the vast majority of women are just fine :) Since mine, I've met so many women, many of them young, who have already had hysterectomies & didn't have any complications!

  • @sarkasm

HI, I was just wondering if you know of an online support group I would be able to contact? Might be useful for others also? Thank a lot!

  • @koolwaterwoman As for sex, for me, I didn't have any change in my sex drive, and things don't feel differently at all down there. The first time I had sex after I got the go-ahead from the doctor, I was really freaking out about it & I kept imagining my husband's penis puncturing through my stitches! But thankfully that was all in my head :) All systems go now! I haven't hit menopause yet; I've still got a while I think. Not looking forward to that!

  • @sarkasm but you can't have orgasms. That's what I would question?

  • @DBCrowns I most certainly can (and do)!

  • You are well on your way to celeb status. I saw my doctor today, Dr. Bush (no joke) and she wants to run a few tests including a sonogram. She wrote me a script for Tylenol 3 (not one of the more fun pain killers) and wrote me a note to give to the boss at work. She said I may not return to work for another two weeks. So I will be taking it easy for sure. Keep up the videos, one will go viral.

  • Thank you for your comment. You are funny and yes the world does seem to come to a standstill . I got some okay meds but must admit they are gone and I am in pain. I have taught for two days, three weeks after the operation, and I am in pain, tired and slow. I am going to see the doc today and see about getting a little medical leave...I really need to slow down. Thank you for responding...it's like a famous person writing me back.

  • @anikeciatta Woah, you should really see the doc again for sure, and see if he can refill your meds for a little longer. I am so sorry! That sucks!

HA! I was just whining to my husband last night that I want to be an internet celebrity :) Maybe one day...

But seriously, take care of yourself! A hysterectomy is a pretty major thing, you need to recuperate :) Good luck!

  • Thank you so much for posting your video log. I wished I had watched it before they wheeled me into the room of lights and masked doctors. I too went home and perhaps should have stayed a day at the hospital.

And the stool softener is the BONUS idea, oh my God that might be one of the best ideas of have heard in months. However at the third week I had return to teaching high school, boo. That is rough. Thanks again.

  • @anikeciatta Hey! I hope you are doing ok :) Yeah, I mean I always knew pooping was a pretty major function, but I had no idea how quickly the world stops turning when the bowels stop moving, to say the least!

I am horrified at the thought of high schoolers----here's hoping the docs at least had sense enough to send you home with awesome medication. Rest up while you can, and happy healing!

  • That was great thank you!

  • @greensun333 Thanks! I hope it's informative! I feel back to 100% now. :)
