FGM would be much less dramatic if African nations followed the US model for mass circumcision (currently only for male) that produces 1 million circumcised infants every year. Sculpted genitals look better. Ask American women!

Infants are easier to restrain, require inadequate or no pain relief during or after the circumcision because babies feel no pain, and thus no trauma. Infants will be accepted more by the opposite sex independent of whether that partner is circumcised.

the risk of HIV among women who had undergone Female Circumcision
