  • awesome song. the opening piano chords are incredible

  • Its funny because im a proper metal head, i love screamo, but i love this ahhahaha :')

  • I saw them open up with this two years ago

  • freaking love this song xD

  • 6 people have never dated an actress.

  • I was expecting for everyone in the picture to just start dancing :(

  • great song.

  • What a great song :3

  • Every time I hear the beginning of this song, I mistake it for The Beatles' "Your Mother Should Know."

  • @as12df34gh56jk78l That's funny. A noob singing the tune to "Mainstream Bigot." :) It's a song about a guy lacking character who doesn't do anthing with his life, but yet has the pride to think his opinion about succesful artists actually matters. Unfortunately, it's not quite too mainstream yet, so you might not deam it worthy of your incredible sense of taste and individuality.

  • I hope you realize I only said hedonism at all because of the title of the song, which was the motto of hedonists.

  • cool. now why the hell hasn't anyone added: cold snap. that song is brilliant

  • This song is one of the awesome-est songs

  • Yay hedonism!

  • Not at all what this song is about, but yay to it, anyway, indeed!

  • I know. Its actually about how futile hedonism is.

  • Actually, I think it's a bit of a begrudging song about love. Note how all the examples are about how his attempts at romance crashed and burned. Then there's this bit:

"Shacked up with a poet, no, it wasnt my department

Now I study the poetry of the studio apartment"

Which actually quite clearly suggests him giving up on the 'women' and chosing 'song' in stead.

  • are you sure that this isn't the demo of the song released on the sometimes you have to work on Christmas (sometimes) [EP] ?

  • this is from the "live from the morning alternative" cd. back when 107.7 the end in seattle had live bands play every friday morning.

  • I love it!!

  • i really love this song,

  • gah, brilliant <3

  • this is one hell of a song

  • Wow, this actually sounds better than the album version.

It's a shockingly good breakup song, which helps me quite a bit right now.

  • Great piano chords as a foundation rhythm with a good new-age alternative sound always makes for perfect break up music

Black Cadillacs by Modest Mouse is the perfect example. I can't even listen to it anymore because of how deliciously depressing it is and how many memories it brings back.

  • ohhh the piano part is lovely.

  • really great song :>

  • First!

Brilliant song! Love the piano hook!
