OBD1 preludes ran a litter faster than odb2 preludes because of the ecu's monitoring environmental effects and adjust fuel and timing. OBD1 relied on the base fuel map and had pre set ignition and fuel curves. OBD2 would change if conditions weren't perfect. That's why if your running a 96' prelude... Convert to a obd1 p72 with the conversion harness and be running really nice.

@hell13fire You throw out the numbers, but the argument was an h22 in a Prelude vs a B20v Civic. Preludes are a lot heavier. 5th gens weigh over 3,000 pounds; 4th close to 2,900. My buddies Civic weighed in at ~2,150. Do the math. The torque is more like 140-150, btw.

@insatiableTy you are right, H22A didnt hit the US market til 93. just to not confuse anyone the 4th gen started in 92 though. the base model had the F22 from the accord, Si had the H23, VTEC had the H22. No F20 ever came to america (well, not for accords and preludes, the DOHC F20C did come over for the S2K) 5th gen preludes(started in 97) only came with the H22. 3rd gen preludes came w/ B20/B21 (maybe where you got confused with the F20)

@norman26c well the brake lamp i haven't figured it out. but my battery light was just the alternator. i had to bring my alternator 2 times to the place i got my alternator rebuilt. 1st time they just replaced almost everything, 2nd time they had to change the regulator. and the light went away. but as soon as i find out what that damn brake lamp is i'll let you know.

the prelude is a 147kw/1200kg car, donno about the integra?
but the type - r version was released for fans that want a brand new car that can be put on a track almost right away with most of the car has a sports setup.

@qwerty6894 actually '92 and older didnt come stock with it since the H22 vtec came out in '93 plus most 5th gen.s came with a H23 and half the 4th gen.s in america came with an F20 (i think) most H22's that are in ludes are swaps, thats all I seem to see at least

@insatiableTy you are right, H22A didnt hit the US market til 93. just to not confuse anyone the 4th gen started in 92 though. the base model had the F22 from the accord, Si had the H23, VTEC had the H22. No F20 ever came to america (well, not for accords and preludes, the DOHC F20C did come over for the S2K) 5th gen preludes(started in 97) only came with the H22. 3rd gen preludes came w/ B20/B21 (maybe where you got confused with the F20)

@insatiableTy actually im pretty sure the prelude S has the F22A1 and the F22B2 is the non VTEC engines in the 5th gen accords, the B1 being the VTEC engine in the EX model.

@norman26c well the brake lamp i haven't figured it out. but my battery light was just the alternator. i had to bring my alternator 2 times to the place i got my alternator rebuilt. 1st time they just replaced almost everything, 2nd time they had to change the regulator. and the light went away. but as soon as i find out what that damn brake lamp is i'll let you know.

On a 1/4 tank I can definitely notice a difference over having a full tank. Almost like having another person in the car with a full tank. At least I think so....
