just wanted to know it i gt that usb dongle do i have to use that mic or could i run an external device thru the dongle like a cd player,ipod? anything like?

@16647 anything that'll plug in to the singstar dongle will work. i've had good results plugging a casio directly in.

yes I finaly got my generator 2 on ebay..so cheap finds on ebay..I master the generator part 1 ..I now upgraded to part 2 the best music program game outheir..shit to me is not a game..is more of a music program from ps2 ..part 3 sucks is to commercially ..stick with part 2 the best ... regards

I use alot of music programs... and there is no doubt that this game(its better than a game) is the best around... so simple yet high quality...

yep, you'll need an RCA to headphone jack adapter. run your audio out from your PS into your line in on your PC. then run any software that'll record audio, i think windows has a simple sound recorder that'll do the job. if you get stuck check out mtv-music-generator (dot) com. seems to be a very supportive community there.

no because my ps3 isnt backwards compatible so it cant play ps2 games

hmmm. sorry i can't help ya. ps2s are stupid cheap now if ya wanna try it badly enough. or maybe a ps2 emulator? there's certainly software out there for the psp and basically all the other hand helds if you've got anything like that... and i think there's a windows version of MG2 in existence but then you may as well run ableton.

not sure but you should be able to run music generator 2 or any of the ps/ps2 music series on a ps3.

yep, it does work with music 3000 but you might have to experiment with different mics. i haven't been able to get the singstar one to work. you need one with the AK5370 chipset. a quick google brings up a logitech one that apparently does the trick.

Right on Zeal, I've had MG2 for about two years now and I love it. I didn't know you can use a singstar mic for it. I've been waiting to make new samples to further my knowledge..and ..lol you have shown me the light. Now I can use my keyboard to create new samples. Out of all the MG programs for the ps2, I think this one is far the best one out there with so much creatively with the sampler. Thank you Zeal
