my boyfriend is chinese and he speaks it flutently to his friends. I sometimes wonder how he can juggle two languages at the same time without gettning mixed up
reminds me of music class when we would have vocal rehearse. mi me ma mo mooo. hehe. This is very good vid tho. i'll take sometime 1 of these days to learn, im still trying to get over my arabic (o_O)
i like you,ur a good teacher and you keep getting straight to the points and those hard letters like w and y and Zh are just complicated u should just give us and write what is it fused with like the word world (wuh -er -llld) like that
yo baike what makes you a good teacher is that you get straight to the point with your lessons you dont start your lessons with the words like you just hereing ching chonga who whoa and bore the non speakers into thinking that chinese just sounds crazy u and i quit who cares u kno and help the poorer americans learn the basics for
Wow... first sounds of b p m f are how Serbian people read those letters. Also, d t n l g k h zh (ž) ch (č) sh (š - we add the corona on top of the letter instead of "h" but we also use "h" when we feel lazy while chatting) a o e i u sound exactly the same in 塞尔维亚 :)
Very well done on your first lesson. Given the circumstances it couldn't be better or at least I couldn't find any!
Where's your 2nd lesson?! How do you write chinese or make it a little fun such how to write names and so on. I wasn't able to find anything on you channel. I'm getting sick n tired of people rubbing it in my face as to how they can read, write, understand Chinese, Japanese, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to do what you're doing, The World is getting smaller
Chinese would be my sixth language and this was an awesome start. But this alphabet is super hard to learn, I only learned roman languages (is this how you say it? :D) so far. I don't think the letters are hard to pronounce at all, the ü is like super easy for me, because I'm german and we're using this letter a lot.
Anyway, long story short, awesome video, keep up the good work ;)
Yeah, that is definitely one of the harder sounds to get right.
Try thinking of it like the english word "use". Only drag out the u sound on this word, its fairly similar.
Also, when you try saying it make your mouth pretty flat with the corners down, almost like you're frowning with an open mouth and your tongue should be pretty flat and between your top and bottom teeth all the way back to the molars.
Really helpful video! Uhh concerning the "Ü" can you give me another way of getting the correct pronunciation? I'm finding it kind of hard to get it right :S

Pinyin is not an alphabet!
Its a way to translate the sounds of the chinese characters

They also use some hieroglyphs as alphabet, especially helpful to write foreign words in Chinese. Example 百思买 Baasu mai - name of Best Buy shop.
