It makes me so sad that a band of this caliber can't draw a decent crowd. What the hell happened to true music fans? I remember the day when people would go out just cuz a cool band was playing. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they are not mainstream and have no major label deals. Bands who sign to major labels lose all creative control of their music, and their label will write their songs, based on what they think will sell. I assume Fastball doesn't have the money to book huge shows.  Not only that, without a major label, they have no real promotion, or marketing happening for them. The industrialization of music is sad. Music used to be made for the love of music...

I agree whole-heartedly about the industrialization of music. And just FYI, Fastball signed with Hollywood Records in '96 and released 3 albums with them until 2000 scoring an major alternative radio hit with "The Way" in '98. I think they are now with Rykodisc and they're last release was around 4 or 5 years ago.
