This is a little late and spoiler alert but pretty much the king trained his guard since he was much younger and the king was in his teen. They fell in love and even had sex. The king was gay and he couldn't have sex with the queen for a child, so he asked the guard to have sex with her instead, after that the guard and the queen sneak around having sex behind the king's back, but the king knows it. At the end the king and the guard fought and killed themselves.

I just saw this movie, it's beyond beautiful!!

Hong Lim really was in love with the King but he just lied because he wanted to get revenge for what he thought was the Queen's death. I believe everyone cared for each other in their own way: Hong Lim and the King were obviously in love, the Queen really did care for Hong Lim and he also regarded her. The Queen had an immense amount of loyalty for the King and I do believe he felt sad he couldn't feel anything for her as a woman.

when you think about it all who were involved were hurt. if the king had never told the captain of the guard to sleep with his wife none of the things that happened would have took place. this song here and the expression on the captain's face was like a reality check. he was like oh snap what have i just done. it was a beautiful movie and the ending made me sad when the captain told the king he never loved him because you could tell he was lying he justed wanted to hurt him.

I agree. But the king was still hurt the most though. I just have a hard time understanding why couldn't the King do it himselfs? In a gay relationship the King's supposed to be the dominant one and yet he can tolerate the thought of his lover sleeping with another...weird. He could have done it himself and none of this would never happen, but oh well...may be then something else will happen ^^ who knows? Drama happens everday

The Korean lyrics is on the version by yunyuc Frozen Flower MV. Apparently that version is sung by Joo Jin Mo. This version in the movie is apparently dubbed by another singer. If someone has the movie and can read Korean, maybe the singer's name is in the credit?
