Are the health monitors really going to sit around all day in front of holographic computer screens and check the health of everyone in the World? And who will monitor the monitors' health then? ;)
I really have to think that by the time things get advanced enough to be around this level, that we'll also be working very hard to ensure that these things DON'T harm our freedoms. We've always used the worst scary scifi stories about the future, as a form of Warning, which helps keep us from actually moving in those directions, because we all know those outcomes are bad.
There is no reason we can't build our future around both these advanced technologies for good, and freedom!
@NikoKun - Very well said! Indeed, there is no reason that we cannot derive the benefits of advanced technology while keeping at bay invasions of privacy and infringements upon our protected freedoms.
Did anyone else start hyperventilating at the thought of this? It makes me want to run away to a cabin in the mountains with my wife and just enjoy the beauty of nature.
@kdbrown777 LOL. Well, no offense, but I imagine if you're already married in 50 years you wouldn't be deemed a "threat". I on the other hand, would be screwed. :(
@RaybornButtercups I suppose that's true, but just everything else... seeing people turn into "borg" in my lifetime seems kinda creepy. Plus threat or no threat, just the fact that the government's watching me so closely... it seems wrong.
@MacZambrottVEVO There are more hungry people now than in 1970 ( by % of the population and absolute number) according to FAO statistics.
Add to this the fact that a global economic and financial crisis is expected to happen in the future due to USD collapse... and do not be surprised with people dying from things like hunger and diarrhea in 2057.
@RiquinhoNojento Yeeeaah... Right.... By % there are less pour people now than in 1970.... Just look at china, Japan and Germany (whole Europe population is richer today)
@MacZambrottVEVO What are you talking about? At least 1 billion people are starving at any given second. Hell- just look at the crisis in Somalia right now...
I was just thinking about it. But, I don't want the world to be like that. I want the world to be just the way it is right now. With a few advanced changes but not including robotic stuff. With those, we would be lazy, we will not have time with socializing with real people instead replaced with those robots. Real fun vanishes Artificial fun arrives.

If we were to ever be able to leave our planet and I think we should really clean it up first before we leave. Not to mention thanking the animals and the forces of nature for helping us get to where we are today. Without Curious George and the rest of the critters on this planet we wouldn't have made it. Blesssed Be to Mother Earth!
@AMP2K1 Uh... Why would we thank a non-living thing ? Apes accidental discover fire and now were so advance. what do you mean clean it up ? in case you didn't know there is already tech to clean up pollution, and don't know anymore. but you should look for those answer and not jump to conclusion when those tech already existed and you don't know about it.
@DoNotLaughAtMe Because we take so many things on our planet for granted. Whether you like it or not we had a bunch of help, especially from the animals. I don't believe we're that advanced we're just cavemen with nicer clothes on. Theoritically we haven't reached civilization yet. I may not believe in global warming, but there is still a lot pollution that needs to be cleaned up. I know we have tech, but the planet isn't exactly getting cooler and there is so much we don't understand. thks agn.
@AMP2K1 because fuel is burn more then clean up more thats why lol. how did the animals help us ? will we tamed wolves in 30000 b.c and now they are dogs... I suppose they did help us. I'm thinking its the discovery of fire that made them smarter. Read it in a science book. its what trigger smaller jaws and brain growth.
of course were not all that advance yet. we are type 0 civilization.... But I do think were not caveman with nicer clothes on, more like human with basic technologies.
I don't think they would use voice control for the medical stuff. (I sounded so smart there, didn't I?) It would be noisy and you would have to spend more time learning the proper use of the software. I think we would use thought control. It's not very far fetched, we can do it today, but not quite as well as would be required. But you could play Pacman that way using our current level of technology.
@squigoo Thought control is very possible actually. Besides voice control won't do you any good if your mute or have a cold. Lol. It would also be kick ass if humans finally got telekinesis like something out of star wars! In fact we all can be taught to have those powers, but it's not the easiest thing to learn.
So 2057 to me just looks more crowded more pollution more buildings more poverty more technology and computers. We just advance. To have pure creation we have re-think things and start on a new drawing board. not adding to what we already have.
@Socrates469399 in case you didn't know, there is already technologies to clean pollution, guess nobody really knows that... outdated peoples... We can kill every single thing on earth and have every single resource. We can recreate anything with their genetics in our database, so no worrys. Even if we did ran out of resource. we can always get more from other planets, solar systems, galaxies, universes.
The Lady ask for his insurance and then says he has clearance for an Ambulance. Some things never changed. Well, Some of this reminds me in the 50's when they were trying to guess what the future would be like. They thought of some things that would seem pretty crazy now but cool back then. Moral. All things just advance. To have pure creation is something very rare if at all.
@TechSlayer000 In the 1960's they had programs like this depicting people driving around in flying cars and vacationing on the moon by the year 2000. 50 years is not enough time for this technology to become practically applicable.
@lupischuckle Technologies are growing extremely fast. 1950-2000 had less technology then 2000-2010. Its growing faster faster and our population is growing at a high rate too and so will technologies. Were living in a faster world everyday. knowledge is getting outdated everyday now. computer power is doubling every year and soon it will be sky rocketing!
@mongoliancadet Technically cyborgs, correct me if I'm wrong, but a cyborg is part robot. And they actually make the cells for this. If I'm wrong, then please correct me.
Rather than put all of this energy into creating these devices by 2057, we'd be better off creating a complete sensory virtual world we can jack into where we all look like rock stars and have godlike powers. Screw reality and its myriad ways to injure you!
Maybe nano's will make us stronger and heal us faster, BUT who controles the nano? if a nano can fix us it can also change us to be broken easy or even stop our thinking part of our brain.
No tanks no machine's in my brain. i wanna know what input a machine has :D.
why are you so negative Uno?I mean what's the incentive of cutting it off?The healthier your citizens the better off your country is.You can't expect them to do too much if they're sick after all.
biological life form cant survive long against many types of radiation even transhuman wont able to gain stability between natural and supernatural then it causes inaccurated calculations errors glitchs are often after failed to do what as it programmed and it will consumed half of biological life form from part of transhuman
without transhuman you cant travel to mars or outside of earth magnetic field and no technologies that can reflect 100%gamma burst
Nanorobotic "nutrient garments" will enable us to eat whatever we want while the food is digested "nano-electromechanically" - so whatever's digested will never enter the bloodstream.
There are even nanorobotic blood-cell replacements in development that provide their own mobility. So instead of artificial hearts, we'll be able to get rid of our hearts altogether. The nanorobots will do all the pumping.
Nanobots will be attached to your clothes but they won't just monitor your health, they go inside your body.
There'll be billions of them swimming around your bloodstream in order to "upgrade" you.
Respirocytes will feed you oxygen automatically, replacing your lungs so you wont need "outside" oxygen any more (meaning that you'll be able to hold your breath for hours on end).
Vasculocytes will climb your artery walls and clean up all dangerous plaque and clots: no more heart attacks...
I'm all for healing the sick and crippled but I'm not buying this. Typical of network TV propaganda, this documentary has totally created a dependency for health care in the future. I believe by 2057 health care could be virtually eliminated...
If anyone reads up on Ray Kurzweil and especially Robert Freitas, you'll learn something about nanobots.
Illuminaty propagenda. Do see that combining humans with machines, makes us easier to controle, cause machines have no thought. When we become like machines we have no thought. we have less drive to know what is right and what is not. Meaning if some high rank(robotman) tell us to jump we will jump and not even ask how high(How high isn't teh right answer, but atleast i has some thought to it :D).
This is purely social conditioning. This kind of mental garbage makes people think they need implants in their bodies because they are inferior without them. It is funny how people say they are more consious about their environment, yet at the same time have a horrible addiction to trivial technology.
Do these people ever stop to think how these technologies are made from scratch?
Copper is going the way of the dinossaur dude, unfortunatly we are almost at the limit on how much we can shrink the chips we produce, any shorter and the copper on the silicone motherboards will short between eachother, carbon nanotubes are the new era for conductors as well as batteries, gotta love a paper thin battery, and super diamonds will be the new silicone chips.
anything and everything in the future will be carbon based as we humans and all other living organisms are, so basically safe
What the hell, why do they need human workers for the insurance company? With all this technological progress you would expect them replaced with computers.
No more privacy!NOOOOOOOOOO!The future sucks!I'm going to keep shirts from these days to wear in the future. But I'll be 60 years old or so.They will think I'm loco because I'm old!I know how they feel!
dude look how far we have came in the last 50 ??!?!? r u serious ?!? this is probley possible in like 30 from 1959 to now look at the difference no mp3's windows xbox big screens smart phones jordans shit no atari gameboys color tv's (barely anyway) this most def might happen !!!
I dont mean it wont be here becouse it already is, i mean it will be alot longer before everyones flying around in cars with smart cloths on, longer than these are saying for sure, becouse it will take years for the prices to drop to a level the normal person can aford.
Humanity is definitely capable of creating all this technology within 50 to 100 years, I'm more than sure.
The question is...who will this really benefit? If we keep at the rate we are now, the gap between rich and poor, developed and undeveloped, will indefinitely continue. And...if you need insurance to get clearance for an ambulance then millions of Americans will be left to die while the rich get repaired....not to mention the billions in poorer countries.
How much is a shirt going to cost that has a computer in it????? Are we all going to be rich in the future???? Will we even make it to 2057. Or will mankind blow himself back to the stone age.
the intelligent house what a crock, the only people who would live like that would be in gated communities, or a world without have nots and useless eaters as the new world order calls them. fuck off with this shit,
money can not run out. more money can be printed at any time, and is, since it is not reliant on any commodity or anything of value (like gold or whatever)
I love how all of these amasing stuff dates back to 2005,2008 like almost 10 years ago and we never heard of it before.
One day, they will all come out on the market at the same time and there will be a technological explosion !

Rather than put all of this energy into creating these devices by 2057, we'd be better off creating a complete sensory virtual world we can jack into where we all look like rock stars and have godlike powers. Screw reality and its myriad ways to injure you!

I would never want the future to be like that, its too much control over a person.

Interlinking nanorobots will augment and ultimately replace our skeletons, making them stronger and self repairing.
So accidentally tumbling down stairs and falling three stories will be the last thing we'll worry about, let alone calling some flying ambulance.
By 2057, nanobots could turn us into both biological and non-biological "cyborgs". We'll then be Human Being v. 2.0.
stokepogue 2 years ago 3
I'm sure something like this will happen eventually, but I doubt that so soon as 2057.
vycka1234 2 years ago
Nanorobotic "nutrient garments" will enable us to eat whatever we want while the food is digested "nano-electromechanically" - so whatever's digested will never enter the bloodstream.
There are even nanorobotic blood-cell replacements in development that provide their own mobility. So instead of artificial hearts, we'll be able to get rid of our hearts altogether. The nanorobots will do all the pumping.
stokepogue 2 years ago
Nanobots will be attached to your clothes but they won't just monitor your health, they go inside your body.
There'll be billions of them swimming around your bloodstream in order to "upgrade" you.
Respirocytes will feed you oxygen automatically, replacing your lungs so you wont need "outside" oxygen any more (meaning that you'll be able to hold your breath for hours on end).
Vasculocytes will climb your artery walls and clean up all dangerous plaque and clots: no more heart attacks...
stokepogue 2 years ago

TheUnoMojo 2 years ago
Why they bother with that when they can just MAKE machines to do their bidding?

This is purely social conditioning. This kind of mental garbage makes people think they need implants in their bodies because they are inferior without them. It is funny how people say they are more consious about their environment, yet at the same time have a horrible addiction to trivial technology.
Do these people ever stop to think how these technologies are made from scratch?
I doubt they do.
How much pollution does a copper mine produce?
How about wafer fab?
Wait what's a wafer?
THE1CALLEDJ 2 years ago
So, why don't you go live in the forest for about a year, and then come back and tell me how bad technology is!
JonathanClement140 2 years ago
Copper is going the way of the dinossaur dude, unfortunatly we are almost at the limit on how much we can shrink the chips we produce, any shorter and the copper on the silicone motherboards will short between eachother, carbon nanotubes are the new era for conductors as well as batteries, gotta love a paper thin battery, and super diamonds will be the new silicone chips.
anything and everything in the future will be carbon based as we humans and all other living organisms are, so basically safe

What the hell, why do they need human workers for the insurance company? With all this technological progress you would expect them replaced with computers.
Indrius 2 years ago
Computers are only as advance as man's knowledge.

Yeah, but in this case all they do are simple tasks that can be easily programmed, no problems at all.

dude look how far we have came in the last 50 ??!?!? r u serious ?!? this is probley possible in like 30 from 1959 to now look at the difference no mp3's windows xbox big screens smart phones jordans shit no atari gameboys color tv's (barely anyway) this most def might happen !!!
blakman718 2 years ago 3
I dont mean it wont be here becouse it already is, i mean it will be alot longer before everyones flying around in cars with smart cloths on, longer than these are saying for sure, becouse it will take years for the prices to drop to a level the normal person can aford.
ianhumphreys7 2 years ago
Humanity is definitely capable of creating all this technology within 50 to 100 years, I'm more than sure.
The question is...who will this really benefit? If we keep at the rate we are now, the gap between rich and poor, developed and undeveloped, will indefinitely continue. And...if you need insurance to get clearance for an ambulance then millions of Americans will be left to die while the rich get repaired....not to mention the billions in poorer countries.

How much is a shirt going to cost that has a computer in it????? Are we all going to be rich in the future???? Will we even make it to 2057. Or will mankind blow himself back to the stone age.

jodyleclaire 3 years ago
money can not run out. more money can be printed at any time, and is, since it is not reliant on any commodity or anything of value (like gold or whatever)
Nuclearcx 2 years ago
Money is reliant on gold.
That is part of the reason that there is inflation when countries print out too much money,
Or when countries are in debt because they have to pay other countries part of there gold supply.
You can go to the government with all your money and trade it in for the amount of gold that money is worth.
Love,
Luci x
