I was watching the group of horses that had just run past us and I would have walked into the path of these horses except someone said watch out. The second group of horses was going double the speed of the first group and most people had their eyes glued on the first group. If I ran a group of horses into a big protest and ran someone over I would get charged with assault. But pigs are above the law...

Firstly: The cop is clearly trying to steer the horse away before the accident.
Secondly: The guy wasn't looking at the second wave of cops as they were approaching.
And lastly: I'm pretty sure they don't train the horses to stomp on people. They desensitize them, yes, and sure maybe to push people out of the way, but not to act violently towards people.

You can hear a twelve hundred pound plus, shod animal trotting down pavement, and if u cant hear or see what six or five of them? there's something wrong with you. This horse and officer didn't run him down, he shouldn't have been in the path, its just like the blind spot of a car, these officers and horses both have blind spots, that man wandered out last minute, you dont see anyone else getting in the way.

These police horses are doing crowd control. Horses won't usually push through people, so these horses are well trained. It was obviously an accidental confrontation; the rider has forfeited the push-on training and asked the horse to move away from the downed man, most likely because the rider was not trying to exercise crowd control at that moment. The riders behind were too close up to react quickly. Horses can stop and turn immediately; police training is to push on unless told otherwise.
First, the black on the right knocked the man down with his shoulder. The following black bay walked around him, as did the bay following the black bay. The officer on the bay looked at the man when he was standing. It was obvious he was not hurt. Second, no mounted person would dismount under the conditions they were operating in, cop or otherwise. If the fellow was hurt there were lots of people in the crowd to call 911 or maybe have first aid experience...

1st off, he was not ran down...he was knocked down...he was not trampled...the horse went around. (most horses will avoid walking on someone like the plague, they dont like it) The Police obviously needed their trusty mounts in this situation as it was quite roudy and abnoxious.

@anmpir Well, for having been there in the walk, there was no police at all. The only police were blocking the acces to the fence. The walk turned over and people got loose, pissed for being unable to actualy SEE the billion dollar place. Point my finger to the international fascism meetinh while many got scared to do it. The army was there. The police bought 4 sound cannon. They scared the whole town with 15 000 cops a month before. So the horse, the kidnappings.. all was set, you see? a trap.

These police horses are doing crowd control. Horses won't usually push through people, so these horses are well trained. It was obviously an accidental confrontation; the rider has forfeited the push-on training and asked the horse to move away from the downed man, most likely because the rider was not trying to exercise crowd control at that moment. The riders behind were too close up to react quickly. Horses can stop and turn immediately; police training is to push on unless told otherwise.

First, the black on the right knocked the man down with his shoulder. The following black bay walked around him, as did the bay following the black bay. The officer on the bay looked at the man when he was standing. It was obvious he was not hurt. Second, no mounted person would dismount under the conditions they were operating in, cop or otherwise. If the fellow was hurt there were lots of people in the crowd to call 911 or maybe have first aid experience...
