I do not enjoy serrated blades, at least not for main blades, one huge reason why I did never bother with the Gerber BG "survival knife", I keep a huge sami knife for heavy work and a couple of smaller blades for other crap like carving n stuff :p
Theres a newer generation now the main things you can notice is the hole for the thumb on the blade is fully rounded and the victorinox swiss made sign is right next to the hole and its not 25 dollars like this one its 60
@GlockNinja yea i checked amazon it was around 60 the thing is with the swiss made sign on the hole and the overall look of the knife and the blade it looks like its a better quality knife if your able to find close up pictures most sites have the standard pic and it seems no different then the 25 dollar one , maybe the liner lock is more solid i dont know , wtv the reason is its probably more pricey for a reason or maybe the swiss guys are money hungry now
@ShotgunToter I've never sharpened mine and I've used it to open boxes and cut paper, (which is the worst thing to do with a knife). And it held an edge for me. Not perfect, but its good.
@ShotgunToter They are awesome for the multi tool purpose (can opener, screwdriver ect) but Id always carry a main knife like a spyderco or a Coldsteel. The knife on the Swiss knife is just a backup blade too me... or for small tasks like opening mail or dvds, cds.
damn, know I see why it has a hole on the blade, but mine has it little, not large, does it has something to do with the fact that I live in mexico or what???
I actually have used the saw to cut a circle into press board and cut small branches. The serrated blade is good for cutting objects with smooth surfaces.
One side is flat and the other side is angled. If you were to sharpen this blade you would only have to sharpen one side. With a normal edged blade, you have to sharpen both sides equally and if you don't, you will wind up with an uneven edge.
this was the lowest priced one I saw that had all the tools that it had. I think there are other ones that have different sort of tools but this one has the tools I like.

I bought one, really great knife. Mine is 'just' the knife tho, no extra tools (tweasers and toothpick + knife)

You seriously think that a chisel grind is sharper than a double bevel?

4:40 I still don't think you have figured out what it is. It is called a reamer. It functions in a similar fashion to a drill. It "reams" a hole.
It does work for puncturing canvas and leather, but I find it much handier to use it to gradually enlarge a hole in wood or plastic. Peace.

i've got similar knife, from German Army, also made by Victorinox. its the same, apart of saw. really nice piece of steel
szymongruszczynski 2 years ago
Yes. I agree. Very nice steel and really good quality.
GlockNinja 2 years ago
why would you want a saw and a serrated blade?
avramie45691 2 years ago
I actually have used the saw to cut a circle into press board and cut small branches. The serrated blade is good for cutting objects with smooth surfaces.
GlockNinja 2 years ago
It may have more features, but it's less portable, and harder to hold for long, or even short, periods of time.

i have a SwissChamp. Way better than the One-Hand-Trekker

Kamakazi1994 2 years ago
I do not know the model. It is not written anywhere on the knife. Sorry. But it was only $26.00 on Amazon. Type in Victorinox Knives
