Not polite at all. One of my neighbors had a $3000 AR-15 on steroids that they threw in the river!!

The only reason I had problems was because I was registered for all of my firearms, and they used that list to find all the gun owners. They came and knocked on your door even if you weren't registered, but they wouldn't break down your door. Mayor Nagin even issued a city wide search warrant, which isn't even possible!!!

@Arcticfox36 I told them that I had sold them, but did not transfer the registration to the buyer (which is probably against the law, but they were too worried about being looters than arresting us for basic firearm violations). I say to shoot them. I didn't feel like getting gunned down that day, so I hid them. If it was a national thing or something, definitely engage. Fight for your rights. Shoot the throat - takes soldiers to evacuate them, which takes soldiers away from you.

Further, federal gun control laws, and the unfunded mandates, have INCREASED since Kitrina with the Veterns Disarmament Act (CHIPS Improvement Act) which Soetoro voted FOR, as Senator, and RIGHT NOW there is are effort to get capacities restricted to 10 rounds and reinstate several other elements of the brady ban as a result of the AZ shooting.

Look at what happened in AZ. The blood hadn't even dried on the pavement, and people were calling for all sorts of gun control laws, and doing it from both sides of the aisle. From limiting clips to 10 rounds, to 200 foot persistent gun free zones around ALL elected officials, these people are just waiting to stand up and demand our guns be taken from us. And it IS a problem when your government violates a persons RIGHTS based solely on suspicion!

The 2nd Amendment bans ANY government figure from taking guns in an emergency, so any new law would just be a redundancy. Several key Democrats also voted in favor of the provision, Barack Obama (IL) was one.. During the rescue and response after Hurricane Katrina police officers and first responders had to pull back from rescuing victims because they were being shot at by snipers.

Did you read the AMENDNMENT?
It says, "FEDERAL funds may not be used for firearms confiscation," if and only if, "the possession of such firearm is not prohibited under Federal or State law."
Since that time, there has been other gun confiscations in responce to bad weather, Hurricane Earl (2010), for example. Additionally, his AG wrote a friend of the court brief in supporting the DC position in the Heller case. And even yestreday was calling for gun control laws!

Your constitution (which is arcane and out of date) says you have the 'right to bear arms' It doesn't say you have to carry a gun - it doesn't even say what 'arms' are (why do I know more about it than you do?)
Cars and planes aren't designed or manufactured to kill. Guns specifically are. Also why doesn't your constitutiion then say ou have the right to bear cars and planes then if that were the case?
