I prefer the original. She has a beautiful voice but I can't really seem to understand her, sounds like she has some water stuck in her mouth while singing..
I made this account just to give this song a thumbs up. Not really, but this shows what an English Vocaloid can do, it also shows how sad Elfen Lied was. :'(
@emandude03 There isn't much to be fluent about in Japanese. If you can speak in English, the Japanese language, or at least the pronunciation, comes like a charm, especially since the vowels are always pronounced the same. And the song is Latin anyways : /
@emandude03 As someone who knows a lil' Latin and who has seen Elfen Lied, I think I can say with certainity that it's not the 't's that are off. It's indeed not perfect, and a wee bit muffled, but it's probably as good as you can get it with a vocaloid. It's pulled off better than many human covers of it :P
@sarah77707 exactly,most people just think that the japanese vocaloids are sooo much better,but they arent really,the engloids just need a little bit more attention and care than the others because its a tricky program(well at least its tricky in my opinion)
She has perfect sound banks for this song. Good pronounciation and free of Japanese accents gave her a edge to this song. Team English Vocaloids scores a point!
@HitoneToni Engloids: 1 CharacterVocalSeries: OVER 9000
Okay, due to the fact that I'm used to being bombarded by hate comments from Engloid purists, I will SPELL OUT for you that I do not intend in any way for this comment to offend you. I'm just stating the facts (believe me, I am a total Miriam fangirl)
@xBlackRoseWhiteRosex Yes, that would work. The only real problem with doing things phonetically though is placing the sounds so that they run smoothly and quickly enough to sound like someone speaking/singing.
Oohhh, and I thought Megurine's was the best, but I think I like Miriam's version more! xD

The pronunciation is bearable, but i can't STAND her voice!!!! It's just....ugh...

Actually this pronounciation isn't right, either. It has English accent. xD Sorry.

I think the timing is a little off, and that she is muffled, and her japanese isn't very fluent....
emandude03 1 year ago
@emandude03 Because that's Latin and not Japanese....

@kohorax Then Latin

@emandude03
You're kidding me right?
This is probably one of the only videos with the proper pronounciation.
Anyway, I don't think you should be able to tell if her Latin is off or not since you thought she was singing fucking Japanese.
TheBouncyButton 1 year ago 8
@TheBouncyButton She's english, BTW I said that because her "t" sounds are off.....

@emandude03 Sad that you think this is Japanese.

Wow, I'm usually not a fan of Miriam's voice, but this is so fitting! :D

Wow, this is beautiful ^-^ If I remember correctly, vocaloid Miriam's voice is based off of Miriam Stockley's voice, and she has a wonderful voice.

The reason it sounds so good is because most of the English Vocaloids are supposed to be mostly opera singers. So this song is good for them.
itachiroxmeep 2 years ago 6
Lovely! :000 Miriam deserves more credit than what she is given!
JEALOUSxPRIDE 2 years ago 8
WHY ISN'T IT LONGER! D:
Why are the good songs, short. <3
Tyetyez 2 years ago 11
It's short because it's the opening version for the anime Elfen Lied and not the longer (full) version which lasts around 6 minutes.

Man, this is the only vocaloid version of Lilium that I've heard with the right pronunciations. The person who made this video did a great job! :D
Tip for other vocaloid users: The key is not to put in the words as they're written, but to put them in phonetically. (sounding them out)

I'm an idiot I meant to say this song instead of this video. I'm sorry. ^^;;

@heartlesshealer so instead of 'lithium' put it in like 'lih thee uhm' ?
