Well if you played Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for the NES, then you would know what happened to Big Boss. He was killed in the Zanzibar Incident by Solid Snake.

The thing that set Big Boss and Solid Snake aside, until MGS4, was that Big Boss smiled many times in MGS3, while Solid Snake never similed until MGS4.

2: We all know he has a child, three sons infact. You haven't heard of Solid Snake, Liquid snake and Solidus Snake before?

3: this so called "young snake" in the MGS4 trailer looks like he's in his thirties, MGS4 takes placce 50 years after MGS3 and the hole romp scenario.

You know how Solid Snake now looks like an old man in MGS4. Well, theirs a trailer were you see a man, weraring a mask at first, but takes it of and lights a smoke. And he looks identical to the younger Solid Snake.
