Chan Yuen's style is was either Hung-fut or Fut-ga to specific. I have to look for the Chan family schools page again. It's all in Chinese but it says it clearly there. Li Youshan's style was Lijia (Li gar), Cai Fu(Choy Fook) practiced Choy gar created by Choy Gauyee. The chuin ngau hand or anchor hand comes from these systems. Pure southern Shaolin.
I'm not going to dispute anyone's lineage here but there were 18 original students of Chan Heung. Do the math on how many versions are out there.
@niteblink Chan Heung learned from Chan Yuen (style really unknown) Choy Fook, and Li Yau San. This was HIS legacy. Jeung Hung Sing's legacy is: Lee Yau San, Chan Heung, and the Green Grass Monk. It was Jeung Hung Sing who put the FUT in choy lee fut.
You guys all know what this guy is saying already. If you know the history of Foshan Choy Lee Fut then you know this story. He's mainly giving the story of Jueng Yan. He's calls him by the Mandarin name Zhang Yan. He's just giving a historical account of how the system came to be and how it got to Foshan/Futsan.
If anyone still wants a good translation when I get time I can help out. I love CLF too.
@ReturnOfJackDawson Instead of rudely demanding that someone add English subtitles, perhaps you should invest some time in learing the language of the art in which you seem to have interest.
Totally agree with you. Unfortunately, this video was distributed throughout asia, where the main language would be perhaps chinese...... But, I'm glad you got to watch this historical documentary.

@quanfa88 Yes of course, i will begin learning cantonese right now. Waste months of my life on a language that is no use to me. I wasn't rude either.
