  • They're adorable!

  • This is so amazing, and I have no idea why.

  • Awww :) I'm hoping of adopting a deaf child when I'm older. Where did you adopt from?

  • Awww, so cute!

  • thanks for posting! I'm working on increasing my sign language and this is a great encouragement!

  • Omg that was so cute. Just last week I meet my first deaf person for a contest we were doing for school and there were deaf people as the judges for the contest so I got to meet alot.

  • OMG i am so gonna learn.

Question: how do you sign to deaf person? (and this isn't to be mean, just curious)

  • cute!!

  • They are such beautiful little angels. Thank you so much for sharing this.

  • This is a beautiful sight to see that these Deaf toddlers are communicating a storm rather than bawling or throwing tantrums trying to communicate. This is a powerful video showing how using signs benefit Deaf children to communicate what they want/need as it does affects the development of stronger cognitive skills. Smart kids! Wow! Thanks for sharing!

  • Awwww I love this I have never seen little kids conversing I asl !! It's too cute !!'

  • That is so adorable! I love seeing young Deaf knowing and being able to communicate in ASL. It is truly beautiful. They are so smart, after six months and they are signing so beautifully.

My teacher showed this in my Deaf Studies class and I SUPER LIKE this video!

  • That was soooo cute. The propeller! Haha there's a sign for that but I understood! :)

  • anyone think the little dude in the red shirt may have said, "hmm, good one." before he signed the word cooking?

  • @littlemorlock They actually say quite a bit that I didn't caption. :)

  • i love it video so sign language :))

  • Yes! I LOVE videos like this to show how early babies learn and how much they can communicate in sign language. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to more of your videos!!!

  • I wish there was a SUPER like button for this video!

  • I've watched this for over 20 times. They've only learned ASL within last 6 months as you described - and that's so amazing. It shows that deaf babies and kids can easily learn ASL! So beautiful and precious!! I love the part where one of your sons saying IRLY.

  • they are tooooo cute......

  • I have two hearing kids, but signed with both of them when they were infants/toddlers. I remember being amazed that my 11/12-month-old, when equipped with some language, DIDN'T use her words to communicate essential needs (apple, not cheese), but rather, like your boys, wanted to chat or point stuff out. It was really a wake-up for me that communication was more necessary to her than what I considered to be basic needs like food, sleep, and comfort.

  • Those boys are beautiful... love their communication! So bright and eager!

  • Smart babies!! LOVE this.

  • awwwww.... i love ASL... and i love it more when babies sign MY kids (if i ever have any lol) will learn it for sure.. CUTE!!!

  • wonderful video -- thanks for sharing and encouraging the joy of communication!! - Anjali

  • The boys are adorable, but I especially love the facial expressions of the boy on the left when he's asking where the propeller airplane is. One of these days I will finally learn sign language.

  • Thank you, Thank you for sharing... a lot of people don't realize how precious it is to start communicating with deaf babies... Wonderful!

  • check out my video of my deaf daughter, It is very important to expose all deaf children to learn sign. look under my user dhjh24 and look for my daughter video.

  • It is very important to expose all deaf children to learn sign.

I love this.. My deaf daughter is almost 2 years old and sign more..

  • Thanks for sharing this video of your intelligent beautiful children! :) Looking forward for more in the future.

  • Wow. That is amazing to chat on ASL while travel by car. I use AUSLAN so I learn ASL.

  • Very impressing!!! Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing your video.

  • Amazing video!!!! Just let you know, that the adorable little boy in the Britax needs the chest clip in between the HUGS and not below, and just tighten up until you can't pinch any slack.

Also, the adorable boys just need both chest clips pulled up to armpit level but other than that, sooo cute! I'm deaf myself and love seeing this kind of videos!

  • @faithful2christ87 Thank you for the note about the car seat belt. We'll tighten the slack. :)

  • THANK YOU for filming these clips of your sons! So important. I am not sure if you've two Deaf kids or one? But anyhow thank you for simply filming these - makes an impact - I hope - on other parents of deaf kids.

  • @DeafJennyWitty That's my hope, too! Our son on the left is deaf. The younger on the right is mostly hearing. (He has microtia of the right ear, so doesn't hear much from that side.)

  • @txbrown5 I don't think that hearing toddlers would have as much language! They are amazing! Film them as often as you can!

  • This was so beautiful to watch! What a wonderful family!!

I do have to say.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tighten those babes in their cars seats!!!!! The straps are WAY to loose! <3

  • @Kiddos1138 You're right, the chest clip should be along the sternum and so tight that you as the adult can hardly get your hand between it and the child's chest.

  • @Kiddos1138 Thanks for pointing that out. Our little one's belt does need tightening and the clip needs to slide up. We keep them in tight! He had removed a coat and I didn't notice how much space was in there. Thanks again for your kind comments. :)

  • @Kiddos1138 I thought the same thing when I watched this. The harness clips are also much too low, they should be up at armpit level.

  • Keith, sorry u may wonder who I was, my name is Gregory ;)

  • I know who that cutest little boys parents is. They are friendly family. I met their father and mother at the mall in Frisco or Plano waiting in line to buy new Mac OS X Leopard! Keith the daddy, how are u?!

  • @TexDeafy Thanks, Gregory! We remember that day waiting at the Apple store. We had just moved to Texas from Vegas. :-) Thanks for your message.

  • That is absolutely adorable.

  • this is awesome, makes me want to polish up my asl

  • How cutie are they!!!!!

  • What a bunch of smart, great looking kids!

  • Thanks so much for posting this! That is what the hearing world needs to see more of is children using ASL. And your captioning is superb! Do more!!!!!

  • Precious! They are two intelligent individuals!

  • Xu is Deaf and Tian is Hard of Hearing or vice versa? Just came up this video while looking up ASL/ Deaf on the search box on Youtube. :)

  • @mike78

Sorry, I meant Travis. It was Xu on your blog regarding to Adoption Process. Looks like the name was changed or it is "nickname".

  • @mike78 Travis is "Xu" and is completely deaf, 3 years old. Tian is the younger one on the right. He's 2. Neither of them had any language six months ago. They amaze us!!
