so, apparently overalls have souls now and carry on on into the afterlife. and no one has been able to come up with an alternate explaination for the image? what about penn and teller's bullshit team? watch the deleted segments from the season dvd set.
It looks like a doll made out of cotton, wire, transparent material, maybe panty hose? does not appear lifesize, maybe about 8-12 inches in height/ notice it enters and leaves the same side of the camera. Mr Pucketts part of the interview raises red flags to me! just my opinion on this video
@george7964 Believers annoy me, I think it is fake. Some people just allow themselves to be fooled my stupid shit instead of just thinking about it, and realizing that it is laughably fake.
Damn that sucks, she's stuck with those shitty clothes for eternity. Not exactly sure why an anthropomorphic, metaphysical being would wear overalls, but the tape doesn't lie. If it's no tv, it must be true.
I saw Is It Real? and how they supposedly recreated and debunked this, but you have to keep in consideration that this was on a security camera that you would assume was high up above the lot. I know it can be recreated but it just seems unlikely that a person would reflect the image off a piece of glass while the camera is high above the ground. I do say its a little suspicious that the figure is seen in only one camera when there were actually at least 2 cameras recording in the same direction
I live in mwc Oklahoma which is bout 10 miles from here....creepy...I cAn honestly say that yes I actually believe this...but pucketts is a shittty buisness trust me me and my dads 4 wheelers got stolen and pucketts ended up getin em some how and they charged some rediculous fee for haven em FUCK PUCHETTS they blow dick
some smartass with a piece of plexiglass, a barbie doll, and a fishing pole probably sitting on his couch, smoking a joint, and laughing his ass off watching this right now. Probably cannot believe how far his little prank went!
I love that last bit of text at the end! Such bull!
I don't caught up in this crap, but this is my family's business. No one fabricated the tape. The camera is mounted high on a pole. The security tapes and video recording equipment are locked up in my uncle's office.
well the one good thing about being a ghost you sure do move around a hell of a lot better and faster rather than most of us do in life. but when i die and my spirit ends up in a wheel chair again. im going to be pissed off. and you will probably see me on the news camera kicking the cars . but this story is sad though.
this one seems real.. i meen if this lady really did die why would the family allow them to make a ghost story outta this? why would an officer lie with nothing to gain? i dont know that doessent make sense..this ones very interesting
Guys, you need to understand. Chris Puckett who owns this place (which is right down the street from the carlot I run), doesn't believe in ghosts. He wouldn't go on this show unless he knew something was up.
Likewise, a cop wouldn't go on record, on a tv show, if he found it to be wasting his time.
@megax11 Actually it is fake... Penn and Teller debunked it in the first season of Bulls**t.
And....assuming ghosts exist.... and assuming a ghost can manifest itself so that it can be seen... .why would it appear on video footage? why not just appear to the junk yard owner or the employees....
Question everything.... Lies can take many forms...
@vegas787 Police are human beings and lieing, believe me, is the least horrible thing we've heard of them doing. That's not saying all police are bad because most cops are good men and women, just that sometimes we've heard of corrupt police. So the idea that a police officer would lie on TV is quite believable.
Penn and Teller are stage magicians; as such they can easily spot when someone is trying to use trickery to make something seem real.
I am curious to find out when she actually died. The officer said she died a month after the accident which occured in June 2002 (How convient he did not mention the exact date)..The video footage is on July 18, 2002. So if this was her ghost, the accident had to have taken place around June 18, so when she died a month later, her ghost appeared.
@ACelloFella Because as she clung too life, she may have "died" for several minutes... and during those minutes her spirit stayed by her car, since it was her last memory.
@vegas787 And this right here, if you don't mind me saying (and it's nothing personal against you) is why i have a problem with "Paranormal experts". I have no problem in theory with life after death...but i demand more proof than blurry video feed and some Expert telling me what may or may not be the case with no substantial proof. When asked about the details on how spirituality works, most experts shrug and say its a mystery, yet they say with conviction ghosts exist. please show your work
We are taught through education that ghosts and hauntings cannot exist or occurr because they fly in the face of science and what we believe we know about the world around us. We claim to be so enlightened and so much more advanced than our forefathers and in some ways we are but in so many other ways, we are not. Remember, science is a man-made discipline with a set of rules and laws created by men. Science has to rethink itself all the time so is it far fetched that science could be wrong?
With regards to "debunking", two guys showed how they could do something simular but even they admitted that they could not replicate the motion shown in the original. As to the matter of scale in the photos, etc., yes, you can do some pretty neat things with regards to scale and camera angles but the fact is that someone would have had to have been between 40-60 feet above the impound yard manipulating the figure near the video camera. That would require a bucket or something.
@scombridae1969 I don't get why her ghost would appear at a salvage yard at the same moment as her accident, when A. she couldn't have known where her car would be sent, and B. I thought they said she died a month later. Did I misunderstand something? What would her ghost possibly be doing there if she was neither dead at the time, nor her wrecked car parked there? It all seems a bit far fetched.
In regards to your question as to why "her ghost" would appear...
IMHO...The first problem is that you already presume it is "her ghost".
What sort of detail warrants any conclusion about "who" this reported ghost is? The only thing I saw in the video were grossly general features. Would you trust someone to ID a murderer in court based on this video? I can't imagine any jury buying that this video clearly shows a recognizable person. No facial features recognizable whatsoever.
Regardless of what you believe, the facts suggest that the footage is real. 1.The object appears around the same hour of the accident. 2. Why would anyone go through such elaborate measures to make an image that looks like someone who passed; how did they know what she was wearing? 3. The officer knew exactly who the entity was the minute he saw the tape. 4. The woman died in her sleep; the entity seems to be searching frantically; most likely unaware that she is dead. This show is the best!
oh man. i luv this story. i mean, its tragic, but its soooo credible. i saw this video for the first time a LONG ASS time ago and it has never left my head. its one of the best footage that proves that sumthing DOES exist out there.
Additionally, the fact that you can see the vehicles behind the human like image could not be done with a solid object such as an action figure which would block anything from being seen through it. Too much here to not look at this as a genuine case of the spirit of the woman killed in the car crash looking for her car. Of course, we always need to view these things with a skeptical eye but all things seem to point to this being a case of genuine phenomena.
It is quite possible objects close to a lens will look translucent, blurry or not even appear. It's called DIFFRACTION. To test this take a camera, open it's aperture all the way and take an image of a distant object through a chain link fence and see what happens to the fence. YouTube prevents inserting external URL's in comments so do a google search with the following string to read a great article about diffraction and optics:
There have been some "debunkers" of this video who tried to show that this could be accomplished using a small action figure on fishing line from a stick moved around near the camera but the scale of the figure in the video and the height at which the security cameras are at covering this yard make it almost impossible for it to have been faked. Also, the similarities to the woman killed, which was later verfied by family members (according to reports), seems to indicate this was genuine.
If the camera is reachable, then no problem there.
Regarding the scale of the "ghost" object - scale is relative in captured images. A small object held close to a lens will not only potentially look blurry, transluscent or even transparent (invisible) but will appear larger compared to the background due to perspective.
The inverse of this relates to how many people take pictures that make them look like they are holding up the Eiffel Tower or the Washington Monument.
Having lost a relative, I love seeing stuff like this..it reaffirms there is more then meets the eye and life continues past death. Well, it reaffirms it for me anyways.
