R we commenting on a song's production or correcting grammar? look at wat is happening in trini at present....this is classic opportunities to express our power as a collective or as an individual! my circle has been working on educating, empowering, feeding, and dis is by changing our diet

" the change of time signature wasn't supported correctly. the energy of d vocals was low. dis is not convincing. Ergo, r we going to accept mediocracy as excellence? I hate to have to say it but I have to be honest here...the song concept is great, but the overall production sounds rushed, dry and drab.

From a production/arrangement perspective, it leaves A LOT to be desired! The producer/arranger obviously didn't REALLY listen to or get down into the vibe & sentiment & expression of this song. Some of the tones, progressions, voicing of chords, texture...are inappropriate and not meshing with the true sentiment. The mixing engineer as well didn't do much to take away from the paper-thin feel of the lead vocal by EQ-ing and adding proper ambiance to it.

The sentiment & concept of this song is gr8, however, I'm not sure if this is a final recording or a demo, bcuz 1st off, the emotion & expression that should be present in the vocal, just isn't there; the line about "looks like our national flag", sounds mumbled, unclear & almost rushed; I had to listen to it about 5 times to recognize what the lyrics were. Sounds like he just sang it ok enough. And it feels as though it's a bit too fast for the things he should be expressing vocally.
