Ive been on SEPTA transit many times but I hardly see issues on the bus except one time on the 26 in Frankford. Its not SEPTA's fault its just the area SEPTA is running around. For instance many incidents happen around south philadephia and SEPTA runs through it. When it comes to public transportation, be sure to be mind full of your surroundings especially when its dark and what I also reccomend is to take different routes to your destination because people can be stalking you on your routine!
I honestly find myself safer riding the SEPTA then I do on the Baltimores Maryland Transit Administration. Baltimore MTA has had worse. Many violent incidents on SEPTA only happen 1-2 times at the most. Baltimore MTA violent incidents happen for absolutely no reason and when they do happen there are at least 3-4 incidents and maybe more until the suspects get caught and arrested.
