I really recommend you visit, although if you dont know anyone there I really advise you to learn some Japanese first. I was there a while ago on holiday by myself and the basics I learned were extremely useful...Im sure you will have your own lost in translation experience..great city to explore!
Simply one of the loveliest movies ever!! And Japan is simply my favorite vacationing spot!! That scene when Scarlet's character is looking at the subway map can happen to anyone in Japan, but the Japanese will help whenever they can even though not many of them feel they can speak English :).
Best movie ever,,one night I was just about to sleep in my bed when I heard Narita airport on my pay per view video channle... so I bought the Video for AUS 5.5 saw the movie and in one week I was in Tokyo and went to the same hotel( to see I didnt stay) the funny thing is the hotel started at level 40 I thought I went to the wrong place at the start... but it all went good in Tokyo....

Bill Murray gives probably his best performance in this movie. I felt so bad that he didn't win Best Actor.
Haven't seen it in a while but I should again. I always find it funny how those two ladies are laughing in the background
