  • nice snake

  • wat?

  • nice clip

  • ya the rodent u feed it should be the size of its body, could eat large rat

  • That boa should eat a much bigger rat than that.

  • Well then don't watch it. People (as well as animals) are either predator or prey. You are obviously prey. Go hide.

  • i eat animal rights activists for breakfast. go suck some cock u bitches. nice boa dude. if u want to feeed live go ahead. i feed live some times to keep their instincs sharp. and mine has been fine.

  • male or female how old?

  • your a prick, it's not up for debate.

  • pretty boa

  • what youd rather knock them out yourself then feed them live? i feed my snake live mice, nothing wrong with that how else do they feed in the wild do they just go looking around for dead mice? nahh they dont!!

  • sounds like a monkey when it dies

  • wow nice strike, pretty boa! I hope you make sure that mouse doesn't bite if your feeding live... the times when he doesn't get him straight in the face! lol pretty boa

  • Hasn't happened yet. Thanks tho.

  • slickpanther06 - agreed, i gave that advice to a friend, snake seems to be getting bigger + rosier

  • her diet is just fine. She's already over 7ft. long and growing steadily. It's not like I have someplace bigger to put her. There's already 2 snakes in that enclosure mind you.

  • No need. She doesn't need that much food.

  • Good lookin' Boa!

  • teck do you know if ur snake is a male or female? nice snake

  • funny story. When we got them, my brother named them "Taco" (the python) & "Bell (the boa). So we just always assumed she was female. Anyway, I used her as part of a science experiement, and part of the requirement was to have her sexed. Turns out she's a male. LoL. But I was too lazy to change the name so I just sort of think of it as a "shim".

  • @faedin you need to calm down its just nature, it happines all the time.

  • I used to feed live, I do the F/T now.

I see nothing wrong with Live if the Rat is healthy and you stick around until your sure it's dead.

A rat bite to the mouth of a Boa can become infected so

as long you you keep an eye on the Kill you will be ok.

Nice Boa. I have a few myself.

  • I'd have more snakes if I had more room. They get big in a hurry. I'd really like an emerald tree boa.

  • kujkuj

  • Why do you feed them live? Maybe its because you like to see animals suffer. Sicko.

  • For the same reason you go the grocery store bitch: fresh food. Don't give me your "superior" attitude douchebag. Everything eats, even you. I feed them live so they retain a part of their natural instinct to hunt and survive. How would you like it if you were fed through a straw your entire life, not being able to do anything for yourself? How I choose to feed my animals has nothing to do with you. If you don't like it, then piss off.

  • duuuude you BURNED HER!!!

sweet ass snake by the way, maybe next time break the rodents legs for laughs :p

  • That'd be taking it too far. I'm not a sicko. Besides, this snake is so fucking clumsy that she usually manages to hit herself in the head on the glass because she's in such a hurry to catch the damn thing.

  • Yeah man, dont feed live...they can rip up the snake

  • Only if your snake is a pussy. This is a 7 ft. boa. I'm not worried about some dumb rodent.

  • rats are actully VERY smart for their size.

only mice are not as much.

  • Even such, I'd still put my money on the snake any day. I haven't had a single problem yet while feeding her, and I don't expect to.

  • I agree with you, My BF and I share 6 snakes ranging from 8 in to 8 ft. Rats are smart, but their rats... just watch your boa. Obviously she can handle it. Being a predator for a few million years helps too. (Gorgeous snake!!!!)

  • feed it a curly tailed lizard! they are extremely fast and they taught mine to have pretty quick reflexes

  • Dont freeze the rats! Drown them first. That way you wont destroy some of the nutrients, and you wont have to wait to thaw it first before you feed your snake.

  • you should feed frozen thaw, it's much better for your snake ... sorry i've seen too many snakes die by being bitten by mice .. and that boa should be eating rats, it'll stunt it's growth if you feed it mice for too long

  • dont feed on substrate pretty dangerous if impacted

  • ahh i love my columbian =]

shes only 3 weeks old tho

  • you people who are disgusted with this need to understand that this is a part of life. this is survival of the fittest.

  • you'd hate them if ur a farmer

  • thank u for putting this up. Its interesting how they not only clamp on to their prey with exuberant force, but they also suffacate it.

  • *sigh* I dislike snakes for that reason. Rats are much nicer, smarter, and more affectionate than any snake could be. Do you ever get a pang of guilt feeding something smarter than your dog to another pet? Probably not. All in the circle of life.

  • You eat cow and I bet there's a cow smarter then you so yeah STFU Snkes pwn hahahahha. Fuckin eat your mickey mous en shit mother fucker :P

  • Rats are ugly, especially compared to many all of my snakes (6) and this beautiful boa featured here. Rats can be intelligent and all but there's nothing like a snake that knows you and wants to hang out around your wrist or shoulders for a couple hours... Snakes Fucking Rock!

  • You must get a real sense of satisfaction replying to year-old comments condescendingly. Then again, in comparison to the comment above, I suppose I should be grateful that you can use grammar. And yes, you're right. Having a pet that treats you as it would a log is much better than a pet who learns tricks and has a sense of humor. Slithering reptiles better than fuzzy friendliness?

  • I would think so. A hamster is moody and irritating. A snake will always be interested in you, not in what you have in your hands. Now cats and dogs are great too. But you can't compare the experience of ownership. They are not usually juxtaposed within the personality of one person. And most humans are afraid of the unknown... like reptiles vs. fuzzy mammals. Care for a walk on the wild side?

  • depends on what u like. id prefer a slithering snake over a fuzzy creature anyday. but i dont bite the bullett i keep both lol.

  • People who find any creature better because they are simply fuzzy are annoying.
