Interesting, the Hurom took 3.46 mins for the 5 pounds of carots and the Omega 8006 took about 4.45 to 5 mins max, so a difference of 1.54 mins max between the two.
I think the Omega 8006 is the best option for personal everyday use for 1 or 2 people and the Hurom is better if you are juicing larger quantities, then the easier + faster "feeding" greatly outweighs the extra cleanup time of the Hurom/Omega VRT330/Omega 930.
What juicer do you use everyday? I use an 8003, great juice+easy cleanup
The 8006 would have won or came very close if you squeezed the carrot pulp with a cheese cloth. Thanks for the juicer by the way John. When it arrived I went 60 days juice only and lost 45 lbs.
Maybe I'm partial to the 8006 because I own one but I'd rather spend more time juicing and less time cleaning. I started out with my late mom's waring juicer and because of the circular screen it was more effort to reach in and dig out carrot pulp. BTW I'm not gonna sweat it if I get an oz or two less juice. Great video.
umm...ok, did he actually weigh those carrots to know that they are exactly 5 pounds or the same weight as what he juiced in the other one? He shouldn't base that decision off of 1oz difference, not all carrots are the same (juice content).
O00ps, hit enter too soon. (cont'd) Huge selling points for auto-feed and slow speed, and who wants to have to put the pulp through the machine again? It's a busy world...I want it over with as soon as possible. This is going to blow all those other juicers out of the water...great job!

thanks for this video! I didn't realize the hurom took longer to clean - I'll stay with my Omega 8005 for a while longer!
