There is for sure the exact shade of grey at 3:38 (2nd row 1st panal - By memory humans make many errors - that is why it's proven eye witness accounts may be devastatingly erred). It's obviously human error to judge by this matter, but Petrova (a fav of mine) did not meet the judges expectations based on her quirky day to day 60's persona. They possibly considered she should be expert in this field but sometimes it's even harder to achieve what is our specialty - more presha!

at the beginning of the episode i was saying that my dream Top 3 would be mark, petrorva and liu.... and that is not to be!

uugh... it's not that i hate helen per se... it's just her design aesthetic and the fact that underneath all that laziness and mediocrity she is happy to cruise along with, there may actually be some talent there and she is content to NOT show it!

Not sure what you're referring to, Themandaa, about bringing back designers. Last season, Chris March returned because one of the designers had to be hospitalized. In the third season, they brought back two auf'd designers for one challenge because, in a previous week, they kicked off a designer for breaking the rules. PR has never just brought back a designer for no reason, or because they are really talented and the producers decided they shouldn't have been auf'd.

I agree with bjlacsamana: Mark has been on a downward slide. I guess he's no Christian Siriano. He was one of my early favorites, along with Petrova and Leigh, to make the top three, but he's fading fast. Now, Leigh is the only one left that I'm sure about. My modified top three is Leigh, Lui and Juli, with Mark as alternate.

1. Ah, Petrova... What a loss :(

2. The host is showing signs of life for the first time! She also uses bad grammar. "Juli, you gave us poor end result and excuses, neither of which WERE good enough." Also, if they were poor, obviously they're not good enough! Sorry, she just annoys me.

3. Lui is a genius, but he does seem to need reassurance and guidance - otherwise he seems lost.

4. Love Leigh. At first glance, he reminds me of Darren Hayes. Something about his countenance.

Helen has no vision, she's creatively apathetic. A good sewer and pattern maker - that's it. Her real life dresses are tacky and less about the design and more about the skin the wearer shows. Petrova is a creative designer, this is wrong.

I agree that Petrova's work is a little more surprising, but it would have been horribly unfair for her to get the boot when neither the fabric nor color were her choice. Petrova got to choose her fabric/color and they didn't cohere with the other designs. To be honest, Mark's was probably my least favorite as a stand-alone design, and maybe he should have gone, but b/w Petrova and Juli I would have also kept Juli in terms of fulfilling the brief.
