I think this song is about a struggling crack head that wants out of his hollow, drug addicted life. I could be wrong but like, they way i see it... it really makes sense. 1st verse describes who the addict feels when he does the drug and how it lets him loose control and be free. The 2nd verse describes how he's done with the drug now but it's not done with him. Even if he doesn't want it, his body needs it now. All he wants to do is re-start. This is his "rock-bottom" point.

Buddy met a terminally ill fan named marcel on one of their tours. he came very close to him. one day marcel's mom called buddy and told him tht marcel's cancer wasn't getting any better and only getting worse. buddy flew to where marcel was, just to be with him in his last days. marcel then passed away sometime later.
