alpha and ex aren't cannon as in they aren't actually part of the street fighter saga. If you want to count all of them you left out the 2nd impact, Street fighter aniversery,turbo, capcom vs snk , Marvel vs capcom, Tasunoko vs capcom, NamcoX cacpom,fighting evolution,puzzle fighter, and pocket fighter.
I wasnt counting re-releases for one so 3rd strike and 2nd impact are still just sf 3 to me. Alpha and EX are still street fighter games. all the crossover and chibi spin offs are just that, spin offs. Thats like calling MvC the next cyberbots games just because it features Jin and Devilot.
Oh I agree, lot of ryu and ken users who spam the hadouken...easy victories. =D
Just, I prefer full 3D 8 way run type games with less emphasis on timing and more emphasis on complex combinations and combos like Tekken and Mortal Kombat.

Sagat counters Zangief completely. Next time you're up against one, just turtle doing tiger blasts and if he tries to jump in use an away-fierce kick. The one that hits high and does two or three hits. It's fucking gay for me, being a Gief player.
True, but remember that Zangief has higher move priorities. You can see that after the first minute or so. I dont have the game yet, but this is certainly a killer app to get a console (xbawks)
Well, when you get it you'll see. Any good Sagat can completely destroy a Zangief. The skill level of the Gief is much higher than that of the Sagat in this video.

I only know four professional gamers, and they are humble. Would never say they are professional. And besides, there are no pros for this game yet; it's still too young. The four I know are for SSBM / SSBB: Connor the Kid, Burntsocks, the kid that beat Inui, and Edrees' brother.
Akuma is my favourite char along with ryu, I never tire up of fighting with both or separate. Talking about school rival games. Akuma should come up there, it would look really scary devil one, I think they should include him. cool game. When it's going to be on PC? I hope to be able to run it.

If a game is really really hard i think the reward for winning should be much much more than some message that says "Congratulations, you have won the game, thank you for playing" If i beat a really hard video game i want a million dollars, a sports car, a yacht and several scantily clad women!

sagat is hands down the best character in a fighting game ever. no man can test him. i refer especially to the SF EX 3 edition of the game, in which he has Tiger Genocide and Tiger Rage attacks.

Game looks 3D which means it will suck. I hate 3D fighters. That totally takes away from what SF is. I agree with a poster who mentioned KOF XII. That will crush this crap. As for SF HD Remix, the updated graphics looks great but the animation is still spastic. Not fluid at all. Capcom should have improved on that as well. Much like the old SF games.
I'm with you on the 2d part. I loved SF3: 3rd strike, so I can't bare to watch this game devolve. It's 3d, but it's still on a 2d platform, like Super Smash Bros (which I love).
I think the main reason why I'll probably hate this game is the speed.
I'm would like to add that the prarrying system depth to the formula. It seems to me that street fighter is taking two steps forward and three steps back.
Couldn't agree more. This is the original Street Fighter II with lots of hot air added. Way too many lighting effects and visual candy, clunky speed, small character roster, and what appears to be extremely shallow gameplay of the "fireball, fireball" variety. Even Tekken 3 looked a hell of a lot smoother and more combat-like than this lumbering hulk.

I think SF 4 shoulda stuck to 2d-their only main competition(SNK with KOF 12) is just waiting for this game to come out and hopefully get bad reviews before they make their moves. KOF XII looks incredible and SSF2Turbo HD remix both look better than this IMO. Howver i hope that this plays incredible as i think it does.
Yeah like ninjanars I have been playing street fighter since i was very young(4) and this game doesn't seen close to fun as 2 is. It seems a little bit too slow like when someone trips they take too long to get up... I guess I'll stick with king of fighters.
the cartoon like animation is cool but I wish it were more like DOA in terms of gameplay with interactive environment and fully 3d movement. The 2.5d concept makes it less suitable for a wider audience.

As for SF HD Remix, the updated graphics looks great but the animation is still spastic. Not fluid at all. Capcom should have improved on that as well. Much like the old SF games.

I'm with you on the 2d part. I loved SF3: 3rd strike, so I can't bare to watch this game devolve. It's 3d, but it's still on a 2d platform, like Super Smash Bros (which I love).
I think the main reason why I'll probably hate this game is the speed.

I'm would like to add that the prarrying system depth to the formula. It seems to me that street fighter is taking two steps forward and three steps back.

Couldn't agree more. This is the original Street Fighter II with lots of hot air added. Way too many lighting effects and visual candy, clunky speed, small character roster, and what appears to be extremely shallow gameplay of the "fireball, fireball" variety. Even Tekken 3 looked a hell of a lot smoother and more combat-like than this lumbering hulk.

Wow, I can't believe the negative comments about this game. THIS IS THE ARCADE VERSION and it looks great, graphics frame rates new fighting system. You retards complain it looks slow well all the standard SF weren't fast, if you want BULLSHIT HYPER TURBO SPEE go play MvsC2 which was the same 3 button mash to launch to super combo. THIS IS STREET FIGHTER IV have some respect they wanna make a game that isnt about juggles. TRUE street fighter fans are gonna love this game and the restgo play MVC

I agree that Street Ftight 2 wasnt as fast as recent installments, but my gaming has evolved since 1993 -am i alone here?- The series layed dorment for years and now capcom has given us Street Fighter 2.5, a true fan cant help but feel a little dissapointed. The prarring system made fire ball junkies think twice about spitting the out and now it is gone. Back to the basics right?

I think SF 4 shoulda stuck to 2d-their only main competition(SNK with KOF 12) is just waiting for this game to come out and hopefully get bad reviews before they make their moves. KOF XII looks incredible and SSF2Turbo HD remix both look better than this IMO. Howver i hope that this plays incredible as i think it does.

Yeah like ninjanars I have been playing street fighter since i was very young(4) and this game doesn't seen close to fun as 2 is. It seems a little bit too slow like when someone trips they take too long to get up... I guess I'll stick with king of fighters.

the cartoon like animation is cool but I wish it were more like DOA in terms of gameplay with interactive environment and fully 3d movement. The 2.5d concept makes it less suitable for a wider audience.
