They lie about the total possible oil AND NATURAL GAS reserves. Those numbers reflect The Minimum known amount,it's expected that more oil will be found because it is known that more natural gas already exists, and natural gas is usually found with oil!

I dunno, but every 1% increase is a dramatic increase in money. BTW don't forget it's oil AND natural gas. ALL of the energy is pre-sold to Europe, breaking the Russian monopoly on energy supply to Europe.

Shame they don't start out with fact that Georgia started the conflict or mention that Israeli advisors trained the Georgian army. Nor do they mention that the US seeks to nullify the Russian nuclear deterrent by placing missiles on the Russian border. On the oil dimension, they could have linked the story to the US attack and occupation of Iraq for control of Middle East oil.

Yes you are right. While this analysis has some truth, it is too crudely materialist in orientation ... it fails to ponder on the fact that this pipeline has been around for a few years without Russia acting towards Georgia. It ignores the geopolitical-Russian national security dimension and just makes it look like a struggle between Shell and Gazprom.
