  • Make EARTH Beautiful for EVERY HUMAN First .......Then work out WHY... It's like Not feeding your children and letting them starve to death,.and instead wondering Why The person that built your house,Built it in the first place and Why in the area they built it .... Sounds a little Whack I know, but i think there's a little something in there for all of us....

  • my God!...Just look up (at night<~I feel like I gotta' be specific here)...Really, just look up or thru a telescope and then try to continue 'believing' that anything you see is merely 1000's of years old...that's simple insanity (in geologic time) or whatever type of time you keep...This damn place is old!...

  • If Cretin's spent as much time on children already born and living in poverty as they do 'protecting' the lives of the 'unborn' how much better off would the world be I wonder ?

  • Fuck all the christians who have disliked this, the bible is outdated you fools...

  • i think this vid has been hit by a vote bot

  • "Humans can think for themselves for we are smarter than anybody in this world. Animals are full of shit because they don't think as smart as us." Hahaha!

But seriously Kevinvang, people "take" evolution instead of Intelligent Design because it is falsifiable but hasn't been falsified. It makes testable predictions that constantly check out. In other words... it's a scientific theory, which means it's fact. Sorry to burst your oh so eloquently-written bubble.

  • @stingernick Evolution is a much a religion as anything else. You have you're beliefs about the past and creation, have your priests which you call scientists and your prophet and you even have your holy book. And like most other religions you refuse to compare your religion to others for fear that you may be wrong and so instead of talking openly you attack critics

The scary thing is when your priests conduct their biased experiments they believe they've proven their religion, and call it fact

  • @joshualcoombe Let's start at the top. I assume you're considering Darwin to be our "prophet." Prophets are infallable men who can not be contradicted. They speak the word of God. Right? The fact is that Darwin was not perfect, his theory has been refined several times, most notably by the discovery of DNA. His book Origin is no holy book. It's not inerrant. Now, you talk of "biased experiments." Well here's an idea. Design an unbiased one. Disprove Darwin and we'll polish up a Nobel prize.

  • @joshualcoombe (cont'd) See, this is the problem with this argument. Taking the biblical definition, one might have "faith" in Evolution if one didn't personally seek any knowledge or confirmation oneself, but that is not the only component of a religion. To me a religion is a set of beliefs AND PRACTICES. We don't have commandments, we don't have holidays, we don't have rituals.

Plus, aren't there lots of people who are religious who also believe in evolution? Do they have two religions?

  • @stingernick Religions require faith. Religions do not require: an inerrant holy book, an infallible prophet, commands or holidays.

Anyone who said they had a legimate religion and a belief in evolution doesn't have a legitimate religion.

I can't disprove something that doesn't exist! Provide some example of what you call proof and I will disprove it... get that Nobel prize ready!

  • @joshualcoombe hahahaha, you are so ignorant, first off, our "holy book" is subject to change when new information comes into play. religious books dont change for any new evidence. yes you have your beliefs, but your beliefs NEVER change, you just hear what your told, and accept that forever and ever and never question it. scientists are constantly challenging what they know and trying to improve the answer.

  • @kingjosh87 When my "holy book" is proved wrong I'll change my beliefs... will you?

  • @joshualcoombe i am very open to change, i dont base my beliefs off of just empty beliefs in something that may or may not exist, i believe in the possibility of a god or some kind of a creator. i dont believe in any religions. ESPECIALLY Christianity. i base what i believe off of just plain facts, so whatever the FACTS say is what i believe. because it is true. god cannot be proven or unproven at this time. bottom line, i have no problem changing my views when the facts dictate so.

  • Why do people take evolution instead of Intelligent Design?

Humans and animals are not alike to the absolute of nature. Humans can think for themselves for we are smarter than anybody in this world. Animals are full of shit because they don't think as smart as us. It looks like darwinism falls apart since it's comparing apples and oranges, lmao!

  • You obviously have not been paying attention to animal intelligence studies. The distinction between humans and the great apes, and even dolphins and crows, is far blurrier than you might imagine. Chimps and gorillas have even been taught language.

  • you're a genius...

  • @KevinVang1000 only someone who doesnt understand a lick about science would make such an assertion.

  • I tell ya, most scientist are bad at philosophy and thanks to frank turrek who came to Fresno and debated 3 atheist students at Fresno state. They lost to him and couldn't explain the origin of morality.

  • @KevinVang1000 who were they? i have seen a lot of stupid atheists so just saying atheists showed up and lost a debate states nothing. Morality can be explained biologically.

  • I don't know who were they, but they were noobs, lmao!

Their topic was the origins of morality and they all chose subjective, lmao!

    GENIUS! EPIC FAIL! LMAO!

  • @KevinVang1000 so let me get this straight, you say and i quote "they dont think as smart as us" and that is your argument that we are unlike animals and darwinism falls apart. wow, someone give this kid an award.

  • Are you attacing me, or what? O_o

    I'm lost...

  • Nature journal states that solar winds release or deposit hydrogen on near by planets!!! So every body could potentialy have water on them!!! Holy crap.. life all over the Universe for sure, only 'when' was or is it to be---light years play havok on our understanding.....'where is every one then' our 50 years with radio telescopes is no time at all really. 2 t lou.

  • probably was attacked by a creationist vote bot

  • this needs top rating !

  • Why are these rated so lowly?

  • fundamentalists want to hide the truth

  • Creationist vote bots....they tend to throw a hissy fit over just about everything that makes sense.

  • finally people go and search BEYOND the easy resort to "god did it"

there is no god, as we humans had MANY beliefs thinking the stars were gods but now we know its stars and planets, and so christianity whitch is a crap religion anyway will fall, as will every single other religion we poisoned our minds with for so damn long

  • 7:10 MR. MACKEY! MMMKAY

  • Science is a way of understanding our selves and our surroundings, through our senses and our ability to logically reason out and find answers to clues. Sometimes our bodily senses are not enough, so we extend our senses with various instruments like telescopes, microscopes etc etc Whatever we find is only our perception, the reality may be different. But science is what is created when our perception coincides with reality. And with the knowledge of reality, we alter our environment to our need

  • You can keep kissing the ass of your priest and offering yours to him...go to your church and set it on fire please. But DO NOT make more FANATIC comments that shows the shit you are involved in, and Show RESPECT to the people who give their lives to describe the process in the COSMOS. You perverted , misogynist & retarded PEDERASTS: YOUR GAME IS OVER!!!!!

  • so what is science gonna say one hundred years from now.you can almost be sure it will be totally diffent then now. Look up alan watts, mk ultra, ecnomic hitman, forbidden archeology, lucid dreaming, zen. Use basic logic if the samething was happening to the moon then why the hell dont we see life on the moon, if we even have ever been there who knows. does it matter i dont know but thats the problem know one questions or ask themselves anything any more like WHY DO I BELIVE THIS then question again

  • "Use basic logic if the samething was happening to the moon then why the hell dont we see life on the moon"

    No oceans?? , no atmosphere??

They even stated it in the video. No-one listens anymore...

"so what is science gonna say one hundred years from now.you can almost be sure it will be totally diffent then now."

It won't be totally different, but, yes, we will know more, some theories will change, some will go and some will be strengthened. The beauty of science.

  • first of all your mind is operating on nothing more than what your five senses tell you.. Which we all know our five senses can be tricked. Theres micro organisims at the deepest parts of the sea where science thought no living thing could exsist according to their process of eliminatin and test. However now they say ooops well i gues they can live there with no sunlight.. lol what jack asses

  • @resistance821 how are they jackasses? i mean really you fuckin prick, concidering none of them have ever been to the bottom of the sea, they just had to speculate at if an organism could live there, and given the information they knew at the time, they said they didnt think it was possible. you call them jackasses for coming out later and saying it is possible, thats whats great about scientists, they are after the truth. creationists will hide the truth so they are not wrong. JACKASS

  • we found more than we expected.

  • yes, in the end we did. not too long ago. it is obvious though the conditions that induce life are more complex than just having plenty of water.

  • and i mean more elaborate life forms; since when there's water and some warmth (maybe inside the globe), microorganisms are conceivable.

  • very true! But I mean hell. We're a speck of dust in the universe. There has bound to be crazy stuff out there that would shock and asnoish u and I. What sux the most is that we wont live long enough to truly discover the Universe.

  • yeah.. there is one thing sad about being agnostic - you know you won't live to see mankind discover new worlds, but cannot find any evidence that you acquire new consciousness after death. death itself does not scare you, but that your curiosity will not be quenched may feel like loss.

  • @aimalfunction that is exactly how i feel

  • lol. I dont know if god as u put it in conventional western thinking is correct but i do belive in a great spirit a life force. Call it whatever you will nature gai god allah what ever but each shall find thier own way but only the foolish only belive what they see with thier eyes. For example to all u science junkies. You would be apart of the commuinty who thought the earth was flat just becuase of the scientific proof they supposedly had.lol sceince just keeps changing its tune historically

  • I agree with you...but I think that only points out the strength of science, it keeps evolving as our understanding of the universe does. This is the major problem of religion, it doesn't change, whats written is what is..there ain't no more. I take pride in the knowledge that we as a species are attempting to grasp the intricratices of reality.even while admitting our obvious shortcomings. That which adapts survives and if we live up to our potential then we will not just survive, we'll thrive.

  • "For example to all u science junkies. You would be apart of the commuinty who thought the earth was flat just becuase of the scientific proof they supposedly had.lol sceince just keeps changing its tune historically"

So would you. Of course you could just make up something and hope science backs up your speculative guess.

  • .....years later, but it's still science that will get to the truth. People like you, who try to undermine science, are irrelevant.

Let's hope you don't get seriously ill, otherwise, what with science being about as trustworthy as Ted Haggard (in your view. Not mine), you'd be doomed.

  • This "God" is pretty dumb, if his way of introducing man to the world is by destroying 98% of living creatures that preceded man.

  • and if it was necessary to so?

why would he create man, when man if left alone would destroy 98% of all living creatures.

  • NEWS FLASH!

Man is already destroying a shit load of living creatures for greed. Hell, man is going to destroy the entire planetary eco system since he doesn't have to be judged by anyone but your "god."

  • must be true, a comets structure is constently changing more so then the earth.

  • When we apply the general principles of detecting specified complexity to biologic systems (living creatures), we find it reasonable to infer the presence intelligent design.

  • LOL thats right delete your account..

  • in light of the tremendous advances we've made in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and information theory, the proof of God is all around us!

  • yes the proof of god is all around us Baal Zeus or thorr and the spaghetti monster design everything with the help of russels tea pot no doubt to that right lookwithlove im on your side dont worry ill defend us to those evolutionist religion

  • none of that was done by your "god" character, but by ourselves, use ur brain and you will realise your god character is making us destroy the planet

  • how can this video only have 2 stars?

  • must've been fans of that fictional "God" character.

  • Life is just software. We'll understand life on earth when we create some software based life of our own.

  • Excellent video. this is a solid hypothesis about the origin of life.

  • Why most scientific videos about the evolution of life are rated so low in youtube? I can just think of one reason: there´s a lot more ppl believing in creationism than evolutionism on earth. That would be absolutely news for me, and truly a SHAME for our species. How can someone with brains deny such an obvious fact? Evolution DO exist, and there´s NO doubt about it.

  • Can't they expose bacteria cultures to the organic carbons to discern how they might break down and assimilate the material and respond to it? Seems like simple life forms with rapid reproduction cycles would show evidence of biological alteration over a period of exposure to and assimilation of foreign organic material. Maybe I'm wrong though.

  • the geologic collumn was invented thus the idea of millions of years is a scam!carbon dating methods are a scam that must agree with the geologic collumn which was invented over 150 years ago before anyone invented carbon dating only about 50 years ago!Darwin is a fraud who preached the lie of evolution through natural selection over millions of imaginary years!

you atheist monkey wannabes are failed rebels!

  • Here's an idea, if you disagree with scientific findings, then you have two options: either present some sort of valid research or go somewhere else to whine. What you are doing right now is acting like a turd; like a sniveling twerp; coming to the party simply to make an ass of yourself in front of others. Discussing scientific ideas with you is pointless.

But seeing that you're here for the sole purpose of pontificate yourself, I'll oblige you with a reaction you're looking for: Fuck you.

  • How can you go about spouting anger, hate and fear when you're going around the internet with the name "lookwithlove"? Not everyone that is willing to consider scientific theory is an atheist, in fact the more one understands the true nature of God the more it makes sense to not be arrogantly egocentric and expect humanity to be the center of the universe. God isn't Earth's private deity, if God exists at all then God is obviously a universal constant everywhere at every point in time.

  • If you hear the word and beleive you are blessed with an early ressurection when The annointed one returns in full glory!

if you hear the word and reject HIM you will wait the thousand year term until the final ressurection to be taught the truth

  • look,

You're apparently accepting what creationists tell you and you don't understand the fossil record. There are thousands of transitional fossils. The bible is folklore. Do some research using scientific resources and not creationist propaganda. Use your brain...don't be intellectually lazy.

  • Mathematically impossible—Mathematicians have found that the likelihood of DNA, enzymes, amino acids, and proteins being randomly assembled by the chance methods offered by evolutionary theory is impossible.

  • lookwithlove: "Mathematically impossible...."

You're wrong. You are using yet another creationist deception in an attempt to devalue evolution. Which mathematicians have calculated this likelihood to be impossible? Cite your sources; and make sure you've researched them to verify that they haven't already been debunked.

  • The theory of evolution does not state that DNA is "randomly assembled", if you actually read it, or even do some simple research on biology, if actually infers that the flexibility to Adapt to environmental changes ocurrs by the intoduction of random error in the multiplacation of millions of DNA. A very small percentage of error creates a new specicies. This percentage of DNA error can be demonstrated in YOU. A human. Why do you have an appendix? Go. Read. Learn. Please.

  • thats a total misunderstanding of probabilities.. imagine you trow a coin (famous example) 1 billion times.. in the end you get a sequence of 1s and 0s it doesn't even matter what sequence you get. the probability of that would be so tiny that it coulbe be considered as imposible, yet the chance that one of the imposibilities will happen is 100%. the same is with your egzample with DNA. forgive my bad english

  • Chance can explain complexity alone but not specification -- a random sequence of letters is complex but not specified (it's meaningless).

  • meaning comes with interpretation. there's no such thing as "meaningless DNA sequence" because every DNA sequance can be translated into a sequence of amino acids. Proteins that are built from those amino acids, however, can be "meaningless" biologicaly, but thats what theory of evolution suggests: organisms didn't just build up themselves from chaos (as you deeply believe) and "meaningless" proteins can't survive. thus they disapear. I see you're very much into philosophy.

  • I say Give you all the Proteins and DNA and RNA you want....What would you do with it???????..from there you have ZERO molecular machines, ZERO assembly instructions!!!...all this stuff would just float away in some primordial soup and break down..and it would be the same thing in a test tube!!..your cell would never evolve ..you dont know chemistry at all..there has been no cell made, or living one, that can live with just one protein..and no scientist has ever even made a protein..

  • @JoeyRamone63 All amino acids in proteins are ‘left-handed’, while all sugars in DNA and RNA, and in the metabolic pathways, are ‘right-handed’.homochirality

A 50/50 mixture of left- and right-handed forms is called a racemate or racemic mixture. Which is? toxic to life!!.there is ZERO chance of RNA forming by chance or on? a primordial earth or even under amazing conditions in labs.and ZERO chemistry to support it..all we do is copy information, thats not creating anything!!

  • @5tonyvvvv I think you need to read a bit more; homochirality exists in the amino acids that are currently in your body, and you're still alive. Suggest you read the article on Wikipedia for Homochirality and understand it better. Regardless of the theory of origins and your take on it, the fact remains that Evolution by Natural Selection is the scientifically accepted theory. Unless and until you have a better scientific theory that can stand up to peer review, you're just spouting nonsense.

  • @JoeyRamone63 Homochirality, exists in a living system in our body..it does not explain how it forms in some natural process..left and right handed amino acids have never been separated to assemble anything.

  • @5tonyvvvv There is no 'answer' to the question of *how* homochirality originated....yet. Read this section wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/Chirality_(biology)#In_biology. Just because we don't currently have an answer does not mean we won't have an answer. It also does not mean that you can inject your own answer (such as "god" did it). This is known as an argumentum ad ignorantium and it is a logical fallacy. Homochirality exists though; and it most likely happened naturally.

  • @JoeyRamone63 These tests have been tried for 60 years, this simple process of life emerging from a chemical broth..no matter of time and chance even under amazing conditions in labs is impossible..It is a universally accepted fact of chemistry that chirality cannot be created in chemical molecules by a random process.or in a test tube, its highly unlikely.

  • @5tonyvvvv Looks like your claim of "left-handedness" has already been addressed and debunked (talkorigins[dot]org/indexcc/CB/CB040[dot]html). Again, I ask you what is your alternative if you think abiogenesis is not correct? What other possibility is there for the origin of life if it did not happen slowly over millions of years starting with an initial spark of energy combined with amino acids?

  • @JoeyRamone63 Sir, they can't even get one single protein to form, forget about a living system...Yeah you dont know chemistry at all..I am done here..

  • @5tonyvvvv What, are you an expert in chemistry? It sure doesn't show. The fact that you ignore simple questions says a whole lot about your intentions. The articles I provided show that YOUR understanding of chemistry is quite flawed; there isn't just one or two proteins that can be formed from amino acids; there are innumerable possibilities and it's not something that can be easily reproduced. But, just because it's complicated doesn't mean it didn't or couldn't happen.

  • @JoeyRamone63 The instability of cytosine and ribose seriously cripples the RNA first proposal. What kills it is that getting the code sequence is impossible..digital code must be perfect in order to have a usable self replicating cycle...I dont know your chemistry background..but I am not sure if you know magnitude of this problem.

  • @JoeyRamone63 you are going against a well established law of biogenesis, thats why these experiments dont work.the amino acids are to unstable, thats why they wont stay together to assemble anything.

  • @5tonyvvvv It seems to me that you are simply trying to use the fact that abiogenesis is not a fully-formed or fully-understood theory to somehow give credibility to some alternative theory; would that be your intent? If that is your intent, please tell me what that theory is and the evidence for it.. Otherwise, you're just saying abiogenesis is problematic in some areas and I think I would agree. However, if you read the article you would see that homochirality is not exactly a show-stopper.

  • @JoeyRamone63 What transitional fossils? Give me an example of one.

  • @mothman1420 All fossils are transitional because the fossil record encompasses over 3 billion years of evolutionary development. If you're looking for one that exhibits easily identifiable traits of transition from one species to another, just look up the Tiktaalik.

  • I like the animation effects on this video

  • lol i just want to know why r u ppl arguing on youtube.. watch it dont wtf no one cares what u say.

  • Science and the Bible: Species reproducing the same species

The Bible says that God created everything according to its kind (Genesis 1). Well, that's what science shows us. We can't find fossils that show a transition from species to species because there aren't any. Science shows adaptation within species (micro-evolution), but not evolutionary transition from one species to another (macro-evolution). This agrees with the Bible.

  • Yes look at how many thumbs down I got.

  • lookwithlove, the bible sure does disagree with evolution,...in fact, it disagrees with anything that contains common sense. You see, common sense is rather UNCOMMON in religious circles and of course, that is how the preachers make their money without getting the fuck off their lazy butts and getting a REAL job in a REAL world setting. Just keep believing in Yahweh, the big Jew guy in the sky, I guess, and keep drinking the blood thing and paying, paying, paying.

  • People have been coming to earth via comets for thousands of years. All the myth has always said this: that there were PEOPLE in the TAIL of the COMET.

  • um yerrrr......

  • The Moon takes the brunt of meteorites and comets, thus protecting the Earth. It makes me think, is this just by chance? Also, the Earth is the perfect distance from the Sun to support intelligent life. It's very weird and freaks me out to tell you the truth. Things are so complex and harmonious. What the fuck is going on here?

  • "Also, the Earth is the perfect distance from the Sun to support intelligent life."

Isn't that kind of circular logic? Life exists here because life is capable of existing here. If it weren't, it wouldn't. It's like saying "Isn't it an amazing coincidence that flowers produce nectar, which is exactly what bees eat?"

  • It is circular when you pick out ONE aspect of what I said.

  • it also applies to your moon idea..

we are in existance because of all the chances that happened. god didnt put the moon there is was their because of laws of physics. same with the earth being the right distance from the sun. if it was closer maybe we would be a type of human that tolerants more heat.. if the moon wasnt there we would be hit by asteroids more.. none of this proves god exists.

  • the moon does not take the brunt of meteorites. go vote for mike huckabee or some other evolution denier

  • Why would Mike Huckabee deny evolution does he think people want another stupid president?

I mean hey David Icke is crazy as batshit but at least he stimulates and gets you thinking.

People who deny evolution and except the Bible as truth do exactly the opposite

  • yes, but then again it's only one of many systems without life. if we weren't here on earth, we'd be nowhere

  • How Stupid you are...

  • evolution increasing as meteor exposure increased is just coincidence. the chance of very basic organic molecules making changes in a particular lifeforms dna is far less likely than those changes coming about through natural means. uv dna mutation etc..

  • You are just silly...and very wrong about this theory. It is so very feasible that it fills me with a wonderful and hopeful feeling. This is the most exciting thing happening in science right now. You creationists are so hellbent and arrogant...it's really quite un-"Godlike".

  • What do you mean life hasn't been created un a test tube? This whole planet is a one giant (by human standards) and very successful test tube! Humans just haven't discovered the formula to put the necessary ingredients together, that's all. But if nature has done it, some day man as part of nature will do it too, if he can survive himself.

  • How can scientists assemble a test tube for the creation of life when they are even denied the possibility of doing stem cell research. The problem is that right wing conservative nut-cases like sikhas1 are hindering the progress of science based on age old moral beliefs which aren't even adept to modern society.

  • I like how you spelled "rediculous".

  • its alwawys awesome to see earth in armageddon

  • Your username is fitting. You should learn to proofread so you don't look even more mindless than you appear.

  • ...now please get back to your "jaxing"...

  • i have always argued with ufologists that the only logical way to travel through space is to put your d.n.a (not literally human d.n.a of course) on a meteor and send it through space. i had never seen this video or heard of this theory.

  • Yes, this snippet from the this most excellent program that I also watched is certainly the most exciting thing happening right now! I plan on purchasing the book ASAP.

Thank you for uploading this terrific vid.

  • "certainly the most exciting thing happening right now!"

I agree, of course...have you bought the book yet? I grew up on NOVA and PBS...I think it's strictly privately funded now...(thank you Republicans.) Band program was recently cut in my daughter's school...yep, the US is looking sad in terms of math and science...goodbye music, goodbye math!

  • @vital2mi ik in terms of music we're basicly loseing it it's up to video games to save it now (RB series, GHseries etc.)

  • thank you

  • Very informative.
