Black star dragon balls, Goku turning into a kid, Vegeta growing a mustache and not being able to turn ssj3 after all those years, Everyone had terrible outfits, Vegeta, Goten, Gohan nearly have the same hair, Trunks was a little asshole in the main time line yet they tried to make him seem kind of like the good heated future trunks. Everything about GT makes me mad

@054martinm Erm, no...changing music was a rather common practice sometimes. It's still done today, with 4Kids and the like.

Besides, this wasn't done for ALL English dubs; the Blue Water/Ocean Group dubs all kept the original music.

It was not that they changed the music because it was too "mature", although it was rather outdated, and needed to keep up with the modern times. In terms of changed music for dubs, this is actually much better. There have been far, far worse...

@054martinm Not to say that it was "better than the original", because it's a matter of opinion and taste. It's just a sort of difference of opinion and taste with American and Japanese audiences; Japan prefers these cheesy orchestral scores, America prefers cheesy techno rock scores.

And yes, they are both pretty dang cheesy. Because DBZ was cheesy no matter what language it was in. Nothing else really changed, because it was always, or never was, "epic", and was pretty generic at times too.
