As I'm sitting here in the dark watching this, I think to myself, "Is nostalgia for old black and white films (with great acting, I might add) any different from the delusion that Norma Desmond rapped herself in for her old glory days in silent films? Where do you not cross the line between reminiscing and self-absorption for golden days?
That's a great copy. Very clear and crisp. This is a GREAT movie and it was not until I was older that I realized that this is where Carol Burnett got her that character from ("Max! Max!")
AMAZING! My favourite scene from the whole movie! I love it when she is slowly walking down the stairs and everyone is still and looking directly at her. It is so poignant!

Teetering on crazy, fell right into nuts! Damn, WHY don't they make movies like this anymore?

One of the best moments in cinema. It seems we lost the ability to make pictures like this.

Yes employed too, while you sit there and pass harsh comments. I'd rather be Madonna than you @The3rdHiltonSister

@AngelofMusic04 Gloria Swanson :)

@MrGatherfield Oh no, I'm very aware Norma was played by Gloria Swanson. How I should have worded it is this is what Melissa Leo is now like.

@AngelofMusic04 Well, you're right. Although there's a secret meaning behind this, in which I believe Melissa Leo ignores unintentionally :)
