this proves how shit of a ref nigel owens is. i thought you are not supposed to release a player in the air nigel? i thought you are supposed to put them down safely nigel?
@IrishDub18 Just O'Driscoll trying to milk another penalty, he always does shit like this, watch O'driscoll, the defender goes low to make a tackle and O'Driscoll actually jumps into the tackle, he wasn't in the air receiving the ball, he jumped into the air as he was about to be tackled, the defender did a good job of putting him down safely, landed flat on his back, probably the only reason O'Driscoll didn't try fake an injury like he usually does, good reffing
in fairness if the scottish player didnt make the last effort to throw him further, o driscoll could of landed on his neck. the extra force at the end let him land on his back.
@1TheOneAndOnly1 ".m surprised OD didn't make a huge thing of it and cry to the media. He could of carried this on for months and try to get the player banned like Umanga. Maybe its because this guy wasn't black"

ah fuck it, rugby pleyers anin't made of glass. i'm irish, and to know bod can take that shit and get back up is a good thing. phenomenal, immense, best centre ever
Correct me im not too sure but i heard certain rules have been implemented if u spear tackle someone u cant jus throw them in the air n let them hit theground ur gonna have to sort of let them on the ground, im not too sure
Hard tackle, quite possibly dangerous, but it looks to me that BO'D jumps before contact, might not be a big leap but it certainly would not help the tackler keep him down.
odriscoll is such a smart player on the rugby pitch so why dont you upload a tribute video of him instead of uploadin a so called 'JUDO FLIP' crappy video of him
ireland have played rather shit this year due to cocky ness style playing againstthe majority of teams just look at when they played italy fair enough they won but that was a pure shite match like
It was illegal cause when you lift a player in a tackle you have to ground him but O'Driscoll was dropped in the air, just cause he didn't land on his neck doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous!
The reason why Ireland did shit in years past is because it was an elitist sport but now it's accessible to the ordinary bloke on the street an a lot more professional!!
@bonzibonzibonzi1987 thats not andy nicol commentating on this video, its andrew cotter. they sound very similar though, and when they team up for commentary, its like listening to someone have a conversation with himself, quite funny. I dont like nicol either, but i do like cotter.
By the way, that is no Judo throw. At least not out of the standardised Go-Kyo Throws-group. It could be considered a very bastardised form of an Ura-Nage, or a very strange Kata-Guruma. But in a Judo tournament you'd be lucky not to be disqualified for a throw like that.
a mother? a woman? a cock sucker? god no! represent yourself as a rugby player, not you country, when theres videos of you on youtube then well stand up in listen, dick head
Actually watch the tackle, O'Driscoll actually jumps up and over the guy, the guy doesn't lift at all until he well over his shoulder and in the air, the only reason the guy does lift is so he can try put O'Driscoll down safely. I would say this was more O'Driscoll trying for a penalty than any wrong doing by the defender
it was more than a cheap shot, it was a scot shot. they can't even try to compete so they try and take out the best players in the opposing team to give themselves a chance. they did it to o'driscoll here, to o'gara in 2007 and to so many others over recent years.
rugby may be second but football is so much more important in scotland than any other sport in Ireland. Plus if u watch closely o'driscoll jumps into the tackle, so get ur facts right b4 u call it a 'scot-shot'
yes but a biology teacher will tell you that black people are naturally better at running and sprinting than Scottish people. I'm not saying that Scotland is the greatest rugby nation, we're respectable but not near amazing. The sad thing is its the basics that let us down and not fancy moves or tactics.

True - believe me, I was beginning to worry about him myself, especially with injuries. however for westernforce to say he's past it kinda got to me. No worries
Who said he was back to his best? Still best centre in the six nations though. Not just for his attacking - how about his tackling. Alomost broke Beauxais in two
Between himself and Shanklin for Lions 13. At the moment I'd say BOD is ahead, having a brilliant season, joint top try scorer in Heineken Cup, 2 tries in 2 games in 6 nations so far, IRB World try of the year at the start of the season in Australia - I think people expect him to turn water into wine before they'll say he isn't passed it!! He's younger than O'Gara and O'Connell for fuck sake!! :D He was out of the game for almost a year and a half! Now that he's fit he doesn't need to prove more
Not really a throw. It was supposed to be a normal tackle but his momentum just simply carried him over the top and as the Scot was coming upwards it just flipped him over. Looked good though :D
the lesson is NEVER JUMP INTO THE TACKLER
brasher01 1 month ago
Looked safe from the tackler, beautifully timed release so as not to spear tackle!
Momentum timed so he landed on back not head. Deceptively SKILFUL!
Only difference tackled man travelled over the top not as usual around the side.
