i find that i get a lot of buffer times with air video when im watching hd files, any tips? i dont have many sd files to watch... :/

Unless it is already converted to iphone friendly format, Air video would have to convert the files and stream them across wi-fi on the fly.

DivX HD takes quite some time for AIr video process it.

It also depends how fast is your processor (for quick conversion/streaming of big video files - Core duo 2 - essential)

@gLaDik The only thing i see wrong with Air Video is that I cant use 3G to do use it. It has to be on WiFi.

didn get it ... any video with .mp4 format plays on iPhone/iPod, you just upload any .mp4 video on a website and type the link in your iPhone Safari then it plays it ...

got a question man, i have a page that contains divx videos, i use divx web player so that they can be watched, is it possible that an iphone can watch the videos? if so.. how could i do it?, i've been googleing for about an hour now and this is the only thing i have found!

If you watch carefully, the contents are played back with QuickTime. Your DivX

Webplayer doesn't, it will probably be Flash, and iPhone doesn't like that :D

That's why there's an app for playing YouTube videos, they're H264 transcoded so iPhone can play it.

try program tversity. it codes and then makes a stream. You can watch on xbox ps psp and now iphone support. But it's quite tricky with making the correct setting

Yes, but it would require software on the server that captured video in an mp4 container. Would take considerably more processing power then the normal mp2 video stream that cards normally do.

I think he means progressive download. QuickTime for iPod seems to be rejecting streaming (RTSP) URLs. I would love to find an RTSP client for iPhone.

Ignore that ;p Few typos in the thing still -- Also you might need to set your mime types for mp4, m4v, mov, to video/quicktime or video/mp4 and your mime types for m4a and aac to audio/quicktime or audio/mp4 (working on a work around for this now.)

You point it at a folder and it displays all folders inside that folder and all sub folders of those folders and so on. There is a folder mask, however, in the config file that will let you specify if you don't want a sub folder shown.
