Question: Do I have to bow my head like they did at the end?

I'm recognized as Jewish on my record for the Marines (I'm DEP'd and sworn in and I leave for boot camp in october), but I opt out of religious words. Like when I swore in, instead of saying "so help me God" and I said something else, I forget what...but it was instead of saying religious words. If they do anything religious like that in boot camp or at the graduation, am I forced to participate with them?

I'm asking cause I see some marines with a stripe on their sleave and others without...

@anteracmacash depends, if your in JROTC for 4 years I believe, also sometimes if you get other to enlist your recruiter will bump you up and what position you get during boot camp.

@MegaDefuse I think its only 2 years....im in the NJROTC right now and my NSI tells me its two years to start as an E-2 in the marines or an E-3 in any other branch of the military

@ilovekobe09 Well bring very comfortable shoes lol. It is a lot of walking, and it gets very hot there. Also make sure you get a seat early because they fill up fast! Good luck!
