Wow, pretty crazy. I've been doing yoga for decades and have gotten nothing but good effects and benefits from it. You know there are different types of yoga. You had bad experiences. I'm glad that you found your way. I hope that you will be tolerant of others who find their way somewhere else.

I have special compassion for those that are finding their way other than through Christ b/c although I THOUGHT I was going the right way I was totally deceived. If someone is walking off a cliff but is blinded by a blizzard and does not know it, it is not very loving to just watch it happening and not tell the person right? You're not crazy, Yoga is very occult and dangerous. My father used to work in the church as a demonic counselor, and he told me this long ago. I have recently uploaded a video called Warning for Christians. I think you should take a look. It lists everything occult, from A-Z, including symbols. @purvigiggle do u still have moments of seeing visions, or anything that involves your past, cuz i believe that this is a journey people can still have occasional relapses, especially if they delt w/the devil himself, although they had already turned to Jesus.

I was responding to a comment about yoga explaining the root being hindu god worship when out of nowhere the screen filled with hindu god images. I rebuked in the name of Jesus Christ and it was instantly gone! :) The devil will not stop but if we have been filled with the Holy Spirit we have NO reason to fear! <3

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. One day you will learn, dear friend, that there is more to the entire story than meets the eye. Yoga, is the yoking to GOD, the existence (as he is properly termed). I wish you the best on your journey, and remember we must love our otherselves. Namaste (I see God in YOU) is a proper "Indian" term and what better way to express this idea to love one's neighbor as themself. Imagine if Christians greeted each other in this manner!

yoga and meditation shouldn't be used to find god. but they can train the body to be more aware of itself and move away from the process of ego, opening yourself up to the direct experience of life.

Ok, lol. I am from the SOUTH....and, i do hatha yoga, now...but, before I was able to do yoga , I had been sick for awhile, with something like Morgellons.
I was able to cure or put into remission, the biting skin problem by just drinking a glass of water with a pinch of baking soda in it, after lunch and dinner for about 3 days. I also cured my type 2 diabetes, too.
Now, I do a little yoga. The problem here, with your assertions, is you blame your illness as being caused by yoga.

You're not crazy. The spiritual realm is so real. There tends to be a social taboo in the U.S. about appearing "superstitious." But Jesus himself cast out spirits. Why do some people think it's changed since Jesus' time? Demons are still active and they deceive people—it's their job. And they deceive well-meaning people through practices and teachings such as yoga. It seems like everyday I'm hearing about some new doctrine the enemy has come up to ensnare people, including Believers.

@iamajames I did not start out doing 15 hrs. I went according to the program given and was going up in higher levels with the goal of reaching so called "enlightenment." I was seriously searching for truth but severely deceived. I was thinking to teach this so I was training and yes going all out but God stepped in and showed me the truth that there really is good and evil and I was TOTALLY deceived by satan. I don't think anything mystical while doing so, neither christian prayers nor hindu worshipping, nor anything else (I mostly think of what breakfast will taste like). I mean, ok, 15hrs a day might just be too much for any practice. And belief in enlightenment is just as deceiving as belief in a messiah. So I'd imagine but it was simply your obsession that took you to a bad place, rather than some magical properties of the movements themselves.

The world needs more love and acceptance of all people, Hindu, Christian's and whoever else. You may want to consider how judgemental your post is in making fun of 'ignorant' people, all of whom have southern accents for some reason? If you think judging others is in alignment with Jesus Christ, then perhaps another peruse of the bible is in order - Jesus is about spreading love, healing and peace to everyone. You're all crazy. I've been doing yoga and have never been closer to Jesus. I'm at peace that i found him that way. Stop spreading fear and propoganda. There are many ways to reach him, as long as you love him. The only deception is the one in your own mind making you think these crazy thoughts. Not all Yoga is Spiritaully dark. My mom is a Christian and teaches yoga classes. But she doesn't get into the "dark" part. I just want to know are yoga and regular stretching the same? because yoga is like poses and to me regular stretching is like just stretching like after or before you run so you want pull a muscle type thing not actually staying there for a long time and mediating. can we stretch? is stretching evil?
@Jennavicia100 Stretching is great! The problem comes when you are stretching in particular ways according to yogic postures. In addition all the other stuff too that goes with it the breathing, chanting, meditating gets into more dangerous ground. Stretching is important but the deception is that yoga is just stretching. @Purvigiggle Great cause I joined a yoga class at my college 4 weeks ago and we meet every Fri. I should have known because she was showing us how to do sun salutations. we do daily home practices and mediate at least 2 min when we wake up I will just use that as my morning prayer. the other day something told me to look up yoga and I found this and other websites. I had no idea, Now I will drop that class. I threw away the text book they gave us to study the poses. Thanks and God Bless.

Only by the grace of God was I able to see the truth of Yahashua/Jesus and asked forgiveness from God and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour. I do yoga and it makes me feel great. I recall having knee pain and when I started yoga, it went away. I'm more flexible and I have more energy. It also has helped with my stress levels, which has been a problem for me for quite a while. Can't say anything about your experience, but I'm gonna keep doing yoga and from the looks of things, yoga is in this nation to stay.

yoga is not religion. some religions use yoga. it is about spirituality, aka awareness, nothing more.
yoga and meditation shouldn't be used to find god. but they can train the body to be more aware of itself and move away from the process of ego, opening yourself up to the direct experience of life.
there are a wide variety of christian prayers that are simply variations of transcendental meditation. it's all about intentions and understanding of what you are truly choosing.

Ok, lol. I am from the SOUTH....and, i do hatha yoga, now...but, before I was able to do yoga , I had been sick for awhile, with something like Morgellons.
I was able to cure or put into remission, the biting skin problem by just drinking a glass of water with a pinch of baking soda in it, after lunch and dinner for about 3 days. I also cured my type 2 diabetes, too.
Now, I do a little yoga. The problem here, with your assertions, is you blame your illness as being caused by yoga.

Why do some people think it's changed since Jesus' time? Demons are still active and they deceive people—it's their job. I was seriously searching for truth but severely deceived. I don't think anything mystical while doing so, neither christian prayers nor hindu worshipping, nor anything else (I mostly think of what breakfast will taste like). I mean, ok, 15hrs a day might just be too much for any practice. And belief in enlightenment is just as deceiving as belief in a messiah. So I'd imagine but it was simply your obsession that took you to a bad place, rather than some magical properties of the movements themselves.

The world needs more love and acceptance of all people, Hindu, Christian's and whoever else. You may want to consider how judgemental your post is in making fun of 'ignorant' people, all of whom have southern accents for some reason? If you think judging others is in alignment with Jesus Christ, then perhaps another peruse of the bible is in order - Jesus is about spreading love, healing and peace to everyone. Not fear mongering as so many christians seem to do. Lose the judging and love all!

We spend so much time trying to be right, that we forget to be ourselves & to love the diversity that this world has to offer. If yoga is not for you then so be it, you did the right thing to release it from your life. But for others it may be wonderful, and that's okay as well - Different strokes for different folks. : )

Not all Yoga is Spiritaully dark. My mom is a Christian and teaches yoga classes. But she doesn't get into the "dark" part. There is actually a "christian" yoga that renames all the moves and steps into biblical names. I'm SOOO sorry about your experience. And I agree not all things that "feel good" are right. I just want to know are yoga and regular stretching the same? because yoga is like poses and to me regular stretching is like just stretching like after or before you run so you want pull a muscle type thing not actually staying there for a long time and mediating. can we stretch? is stretching evil?

@Jennavicia100 Stretching is great! The problem comes when you are stretching in particular ways according to yogic postures. In addition all the other stuff too that goes with it the breathing, chanting, meditating gets into more dangerous ground. Stretching is important but the deception is that yoga is just stretching. @Purvigiggle Great cause I joined a yoga class at my college 4 weeks ago and we meet every Fri. I should have known because she was showing us how to do sun salutations. we do daily home practices and mediate at least 2 min when we wake up I will just use that as my morning prayer. the other day something told me to look up yoga and I found this and other websites. I had no idea, Now I will drop that class. I threw away the text book they gave us to study the poses. Thanks and God Bless.

It is really hard for people to believe unless they've experienced the truth through God's wisdom to them. I learnt the hard way. I endured my suffering now I am free in Christ. So true what you're saying. I too was into yoga and kundalini before which later led me to a deep spiritual oppression. I too felt "enlightened". People engaged in any kind of sorcery also feel good but there is always a give and take and one may not realize what is being taken at the time. @Purvigiggle so this is for civilizedwiturmom..I was on anti-anxiety meds 3 x a day in panic after I got this illness.I tried more yoga ( seemed to help before) but it did not help, I tried everything to help me and was totally suicidal. Only by the grace of God was I able to see the truth of Yahashua/Jesus and asked forgiveness from God and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour. From that moment I did not need a single medication again! I have no fear b/c he is w/ me even unto death! God bless

Christians, there's no such thing as "Christian yoga." That's the same as saying, "Christian Hinduism." It's ignorance! If you need a gentle method of exercise and stretching, learn Pilates. The poses are poses of praise to Hindu gods. Yoga IS Hinduism, not simply exercises that Hindus practice.

I do yoga and it makes me feel great. I recall having knee pain and when I started yoga, it went away. I'm more flexible and I have more energy. It also has helped with my stress levels, which has been a problem for me for quite a while. Can't say anything about your experience, but I'm gonna keep doing yoga and from the looks of things, yoga is in this nation to stay.

I caution you b/c the good feelings don't necessarily mean it is coming from a good place as crazy as that sounds. It is a give and take and you may feel good in one area of your life and something else wears down..It is a form of witchcraft truly, it took me 3 yrs to realize this!
