Not gonna lie, I love the Gradius Generation soundtrack. I feel that the problem most people have with the music lies within the engineering of the sound, rather than the compositions. However, if you listen to the compositions, they're really quite good.
Progress has been rather slow with that, as there's another HUGE project I'm working on that I haven't announced to the YouTube public. Soon, however, I should have Test Video 4 ready for Gradius: The Dark Armada.
And by the way, you could get yourself involved in the project if you want. Can you voice act? I'm in serious need of some voice actors for Gradius: The Dark Armada, as you'll hear the pilots and a Gradius High Command official talking during the game.
Well I played it on the game boy under the name gradius galaxies, and on the game boy the music was perfect. And personally, I really don't give a damn what the music is doing when all I can hear is the lasers.
What's really awkward is that I used to despise the music. It was really bothersome when I first played Gradius Generation, to the point where it would actually screw up my runs. Now, I've grown to like it, and will be using 4 tunes from the game(Boss, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 4, Stage 7) in my Gradius: The Dark Armada fangame.
They may not care about that little error, but they might care about the inclusion of Gradius Generation music. Not sure what the guys over at GameStone will think.
Well, I think that you should just tell them, and if you get flamed, I'll support you. I happen to absolutely adore this soundtrack, because Gradius Generation is the first Gradius game I've ever played.
Don't ever flame me(not saying this to you, but to people in general)! If ANYONE ever flames me, I'm gonna lose it(I have NO patience for that bullshit).
I'd never flame you. I don't like flaming people. It makes me look like a dick. In fact, all those flaming trolls out there can go die in a pit for all I care. A pit filled with lizard men with poisonous fangs and scorpion tails. That's how much I hate flaming trolls.
It's been nine months, how is that game coming along? ( Gradius: The Dark Armada ) (BTW is a nice name, but shouldn't have the title if it doesn't live up to a title like so.)
This game had absolutely atrocious music. Aside from the morbid decision to use 8-bit style music, which in itself isn't bad, the music is poorly written and uninspired. The boss music is particularly shoddy. I don't get it. The sound effects, the levels, graphics, gameplay... everything works for this game, except the music.
the name of the music for stage 2 is called glass

Whatever gets my name more noticed with not much needed of me, I can attempt to do.
However, you should check my videos and watch some to get an idea of my voice.

For my sake, it should live up to such a name, I just hope you don't totally change the concept, but whatever, your making it, so yeah.

The concept is not going to change in any way.

btw, I love the music in the game despite the fact that it does sound a tad bit like an NES game.

I thought the same thing when I first played it, but then again, I'm a sucker for 8-bit style music. I used to absolutely HATE the boss tune before.
