I'm not sure why you'd say that. I can think of many uses for a device like this. Like watching movies or playing games. Heck, when I visit my birth family in Ohio, I'd take something like this so I can have something to do when everyone else is at work or otherwise busy. After all, it'd be a lot easier to take this then a full 32" TV that I normally use.

Im not sure what the big deal is...all them seem awfully inadequete for viewing with the lights on....I saw a video of a product called the M1 plus from a company called aaxatech.com, and the 66 lumens was adequete at best..what is 50 lumens going to do for you? Or 10 lumens with the Showwx? I believe aaxatech.com has a laser as well, it supposed has twice the lumens as the microvision one...how are lumens calculated?

@vintagepower3 How about a head strapped 1080p, so that wherever you look, from your perspective it will show up undistorted, like those designs on walls and stairs that only are viewable from 1 particular spot. You could wear it on your head, walk to the kitchen watching something with no change in scenery as your head goes from the stairs to a table to a kitchen counter, all showing from your perspective an undistorted rectangle.

@hughtub You need a laser projector for infinity focus use, search for a video with the Microvision SHOWWX displaying the game "Sky Siege" on the iPhone...this may just blow your mind.

Also.. @vintagepower3 they already are at 1080i using HDMI (Optoma PK-201 and PK-301) and I imagine there are projectors I don't know about which may be at 1080p already but I'm sure by January @ CES 2011 you will see many!

the optoma one only supports 480x320,,a pico projector should have at least 680x480 like 3m, aipteck and bonitor, the output quality of pico is weak enough,,if it is just 480x320, i really cant image the quality,,
