Santorum is planning to cut 5 trillion dollars over the next 5 years and was a very vocal supporter AGAINST the stimulus bill. He voted to raise the debt ceiling, because we were at war with Iraq. He has been a strong supporter of the Tea Party movement and if you read his proposals on his website, you'll agree that he is very much in tune with Tea Party principles.

I forgot to mention.. as far as abortion is concerned- Santorum sponsored the Partial Birth abortion ban and has ALWAYS VOTED TO PASS Pro-life legislation. Like you said- look at his record, right? With all due respect, by what I can gather from just reading your screen name, it would appear that you may not be qualified to judge others in terms of their morality or possible religious short-comings.

Allow me to educate you...Santorum supported Arlen Specter, because it was a strategic move. Pat Toomey was not polling well and it didnt look like he would beat the Democratic challenger. Specter was Chairman of the Congressional Judiciary Committee and in exchange for Santorums endorsement, promised to confirm conservative Supreme Court Justices (which he later did). President Bush, Pat Toomey and Santorum supported Specter for this very reason.

You know, as much as I dislike the guy's politics, and as much as I think he was lying about Obamacare, and as much as I hate his comments on homosexuals, he doesn't seem like a completely bad guy, and I feel sorry that his daughter is like this. He does not have my vote, but maybe he isn't such an asshole after all.

Isn't it a shame how the Paul people have to pollute everything they touch? And they always end up with something like, "Ron Paul 2012," as if that last little catchphrase provides them with some moral superiority. Ron Paul supporters are the greatest apologetic as to why libertarianism would not work in the US--that lack the decency and uprightness necessary to live a libertarian life without making themselves a menace to society.

You know, I like Santorum because the guy has cahonies to say what he beleives in and endures countless attacks. You may not agree with him on all the issues (I personally do), but at least he is consistant and a man of principal. Romney will flip flop according to what is popular at the time. Santorum does not want to create laws just because of his religious beliefs. He has strong convictions, but also understands that he must allow us all to live freely, regardless of his personal views.

@silverakusame The choice you speak of was already made. Pregnancy can only occur if sex occurs. So if a pregnancy is not desired, then sex should not occur. And please don't bring up rape and incest as it accounts for 1% of abortions. I have never met a mother who regretted having their child. I have met and cried with too many women who aborted their child. Abortion is not a solution. It is a crime that victimizes everyone involved.
