Walking spanish: Ambulatory locomotion of the recipient of the bum's rush, involuntarily emulating a Flamenco dancer by dint of being simultaneously propelled forward and elevated at the seat of one's pants with one hand, and the scruff of one's neck with another.
@erizooi i'm not sure what you mean, but allow me to cite the irrefutable truth on the matter as put forth by Urban Dictionary: walking spanish- taking the last march to the death penalty, ie. Hanging, Electric chair.
This performance is in Sanremo but is not the "Sanremo Festival". This is another festival called "Premio Tenco" in memory of Luigi Tenco, great italian songwriter.
The irony of a Tom Waits concert...is everyone is just waiting for one of his mushy over the top ballads...and he'll give you a few...but he's kind of stingy with them. He makes you listen to a lot of clanging and clonking...just for a few sublime moments. A lot of ego there...or maybe just a good business plan. Always keep 'em wanting more?
Tom waits is brilliant... just his songs have their own ego! Il be damned if this man doesn't have the right to make you listen to him playing a triangle.
Right. He is free to do as he pleases...but that is a chasm between audience desire and what Waits actually gives in a performance. Have you ever seen him perform? I have...and the audience was quite perplexed...and I saw him when he was supporting his "Rain Dogs" album...maybe his high water mark as an artist... and he was still hard to swallow.
Fuck it. I'd want this little tune presented as music resembling the original on the vinyl album and not as a talk show. And ther seems no where to be found. On the entire U-tube..
If anyone says they enjoyed this you are a lying fucker!

not a single thing random, each phrase is a metaphorical reference. look each one up, translate it, assemble the story.

It's great, kinda the opposite of an instrumental track. Or kinda like a poem, creatively accompanied by an occasional beat.
