Even if they are wrong, and global warming isn't anthropogenic, they aren't doing it because they have a strange and sinister ulterior motive. The concern over global warming is old, decades old. Scientists have been working on it since before it was 'cool' or a 'cause celebre'.

A lot of scientific reports are off too because they use old, inaccurate information or blatant lies to back up their claims. Do some googling on that one.

@CarbonOxidizer co2 back scatters IR. but the relationship with global temperatures is logarithmic, such that we already caused most of the warming that we could cause by adding co2 to the atmosphere, and the human signal in global temps is still undetectable above background noise/natural variability. the level of co2 we are going to cause in the next century if we take no action is also not unprecedented. the biosphere has thrived with 10 times as much co2 before.

Humans have also been around for about 2.5 million years during times of extreme climate changes from interglacial cycles. However, It is only in the last 10 000 years, a period of stable climate, that modern agricultural based societies formed. The biosphere will be "fine", but our modern agricultural based societies will not be.

Stupid, fallacious and just plain wrong argument. Nobody argues against co2 absorbing infrared. What is disputed is the extent of the effect, whether it's logarithmic (it is) or exponential and how much we can do to reverse it.
CO2 is a trace gas in the atmosphere and the idea that this 10:10 nonsense is going to make any difference to a smidgen of a degree change in climate at the cost of hospitals, schools or other causes is ridiculous.

Gore's "research" has all but been proved to be false, misleading, or taken out of context. Using Gore's own graph, I can prove that CO2 is not driving Global Climate Change, but the other way around.

This last absorbs far more than CO2 and there is over 10,00 times as much of it. 95% of warming is from H2O. Moreover, we emit 29 Gtons of CO2. Bacteria/animals emit 330 Gtons and the ocean the same. CO2 is less 1 part per 2000 of the atmosphere - it is absurd to claim that it will create a global catastrophe - as most climate scientists actually agree. google 1000 scientists global warming.

I must be slightly twisted - at the end (SPOILER ALERT) - when the announcer got ... uh, "eliminated" - I laughed. Don't agree with this type of advertising, but it DID make me laugh at the end. Again, I personally, probably have a bent sense of humor and do not condone this type of graphic, almost threatening advert. BUT, this did get people talking (and they all apparently hate 10:10 - even funnier!)
