@justinplet--->hey have you been able to download any free working plug-ins..?-->my media player used to play movie perfectly..but then after some problems i had to restarted and well now it doesnt play them anymore..so if you find some..let me know-->i did wht the video told me...but no luck-->it didnt work :(

I've been trying to get my PC to play DVDs like forever. just found this tutorial, completed it (very easy) and still didn't work for I needed codec software which I may have to pay for but then I remember a program I installed to see clips downloaded from the Vimeo site, called FFDShow so if you need a codec program, get this one because its open source. I opened FFDShow up, adjusted the video prefs for windows media player and voila, my PC can now play dvds without costing me 1 red cent! thx!

@2009sk8rkid if the dvd is not located in my comnputer your computer doesn't have

a dvd rom so you should take it to a computer center and tell them to put in your computer a dvd rom:P

I couldn't play the dvd. It said my resolution setting may be too high, and I do have it set on the highest resolution, 1280x800. I have a Windows Vista Stone Notebook with an other program that plays dvds but I prefer to use Windows Media Player. Any help???
