Touching the face a lot can transfer dead skin cells and oils from the fingers to the face and cause pimples as well... especially if they're unclean. Just another tip : )
Tracy! You're amazing! You, my new friend, have changed my life today.
You must have some incredible karma coming your way, and you're catching every lick of it with those dreads, girl! ;) Love the smarts; keep sharing! :)
For an elimination/exclusion diet to be effective, strict dietary adherence is CRUCIAL. Additionally, you will want to control/limit as many outside factors as possible by avoiding major changes your routine during this process. This means keeping your non dietary habits as consistent as you can. This would be a bad time to amp up your exercise routine, change your skincare regime, change medications or birth control, go on a trip, etc. If unavoidable changes do occur be sure to notate them.
A cheaper (albeit more painstaking) way to test for other as of yet unrecognized food reactions, allergies or intolerance from which you may be suffering is to undergo an elimination diet. To do this, you want to start by cutting out as many potential offenders (any common allergens and digestive irritaters) as possible from your diet for at least two weeks and up to two months. Then very gradually (no more than 1 item per week) reintroduce foods back into your diet and monitor your reaction
The reason I mention this is because it may be worth it for many people reading this to try a candida cleanse (temporary elimination of all sugar---be it natural or processed---, white flour, yeast and cheese) and see if it proves beneficial to you because you MAY be suffering from so-called "yeast syndrome". It's worth a shot, as I know may people (myself included) cannot afford a visit to a doctor or naturopath.
I know this is going against Tracy's intentional omission of her personal food culprit out of the desire for everyone to explore their own unique potential food sensitivities and issues BUT... in another video she mentions that her consultation with the naturopath pointed to an issue with foods that promote candida growth and in particular fructose. So, for those of you that HAD to know there you go.
what was your point in the video..................what were the main things that help u cleared up your acne..this video didnt help...i felt as if u were just rambling and not being direct with the main steps u took to clear up your acne
why can some people eat no good foods and like mcdonalds every day and have clear skin and i eat it once and get raped so gay... i live in vancouver:)
@stevophil I know... it's not fair :/ It's because we have the acne genes, and they will get different diseases - whatever's in their genes. Everyone pays for their health crimes eventually, don't worry
@sprechendertoaster It was an electro-acupuncture test. But it might not be available where you live... just look for a natural practitioner who can test you for "delayed IgG antibody allergies"
I remember several years ago when I first started freaking out about my acne. I look back to those pictures now and WISH I could have that skin! Me stressing out about my acne is what led it to become worse is what I think. I eat a pretty normal diet but I'm going to try eating even healthier and just relaxing and not stressing about acne and stuff. Hopefully this will get me your awesome skin :)
@jchill7130 Yep, stress if a silent killer. It feels like a paradox to have acne and not freak out about it, but it really does only make it so much worse. Good luck with improving your lifestyle and stress levels! I'm here for ya!
8:48.....relating to that: That is exactly where I am at the moment with my acne. It's not severe, but I get a few spots now and then that repeat. I feel like it's never going away. I wish I could get one spot a month, I could deal with that.
Damn everything you said sounded so familiar, I've been a diet nazi for 2 months, started making it less important 2 weeks ago, read your book today, it's perfect for me.
One question : if your acne itches, do you think it's a bad thing or not?
@KorionDotNet I *think* that's a sign your acne is due to an allergic reaction (but most people's is, or at least is contributing to it). I've heard itchy acne is pretty normal. Have you been tested for food sensitivities?
@thelovevitamin Well I'm taking antihistamine now (actually because of Hay Fever). I also believe it's an allergic reaction. Eating natural antihistamine foods helps me out very well (strawberries, lemon juice, all that, I avoid cucumbers and bananas as I noticed bananas aren't helping me at all). I'm gonna take a test in two or three weeks (glad I'm at the university, they have plenty of doctors there). What kind of test did you take? Skin testing?
@KorionDotNet Skin testing and most tests by traditional allergists are inaccurate because they only measure and deal with immediate reactions (true allergy), and miss 80% of allergies which are delayed. I had a test categorized as 'electrodermal screening' by a naturopath which measures delayed reaction... a lot of people say it's inaccurate too, but it was cheaper than some other tests, and it seemed to catch enough of my allergies to get clear
i have been on the most tiring journey of my life with my skin from a face full of angry severe acne to now finally having it under control through diet and emotional healing sensions.
love your entire vibe! really good videos and information, keep it up! subscribed
