wow. i ONLY have a 9400GT, but i guess its got a lot of memory. because when your turning the graphics up and down, theres a small thing that shows you your memory and stuff, yours is 800 something, mines almost 1000. its 900 something.
because when sli is used itn wil only ever use the memory from the gpu thats being used, basicaly each gpu renders a frame alternatly and each gpu has its own memory, rather than both gpus and memory combining to render a single frame.

For me theres ahuge difference between 30 and 60 60 and 120 and so on, the games feel a lot more fluid. Anyone who claimes they dont see a difference clearly dont get 60 fps in any game. A good test is to play at your normal fps 60 or whatever then use fraps to cap your fps to 30 fps you will see a difference i garantee infact when ive done this i really dont know how people play at 30fps especially in FPS games.

You actually did tested in in Highest settings Because you need to restart the game (manualy) in order to change the Texture Quality.
So u just tested in LOW Texture Quality
and all other settings to high.

Ok, I'm stumped. I have 2-gtx 260 sli'd with an 3.2ghz 920 and I can get 60 fps at 1680x1050 but how in the world do you get the game to let you max everything out? If there is a patch which one is it? I thought I had it up to date. Please help!

if it was two GTX 295's then he would have 1750 MB of Video RAM to use therefor he would need to disable the restriction

If it was 2x 295 then it would still; need the restrictions removing as it would still only have896mb of ram per card each card renders its own frame it doesnt combine power to render a single frame if they combined power not only would you add the ram together but you could say the gpu core clock is 595mhz x 4 which just isnt the case.

For me theres ahuge difference between 30 and 60 60 and 120 and so on, the games feel a lot more fluid. Anyone who claimes they dont see a difference clearly dont get 60 fps in any game. A good test is to play at your normal fps 60 or whatever then use fraps to cap your fps to 30 fps you will see a difference i garantee infact when ive done this i really dont know how people play at 30fps especially in FPS games.

yea, I tihnk movies are made in like 22 or 23FPS i cant remember and TV shows im guessing live are like 34FPS sumwhere like that. Yea u can notcie higher frames of couse ive witnissed lol, but huge amounts like 300, 400, 500FPS u cant really really notice it, but i guess somewhat.

Coz saying 1900mb is misleading.
In fact the gtx 295 is a 2 board graphic card.. each board have it's own gpu and ram.
That mean the gpu can access to it's own ram only and this also mean that the ram on both boards must contains exactly the SAME data (like in a Raid1 array)

Is this frame buffer memory on the GPU or actual system memory? Because the GTX 295 has 1792 MB of frame buffer memory. It's a dual GPU card with 896 mb in each card

Grand theft auto dosent support sli so you want to set the settings so they go no higher than 896mb. and yes the memory is for the graphics card and not RAM

They advertise it as 1796mb but its not it will never be either the way sli works is it uses the memory on its own card to render the images. It would be like saying i have over 3gb of ram cus i have 3 gtx 285s but thats just not the case.

btw i have i7 920 @ 2.67 and GTX 295 on ASUS P6T. Ram is 1600mhz @ 7-7-7-24, and i get 54.13 at 1280x1024 with rest of the options on max. WHY?

I got more ij this test because i ran the cpu at 4.2ghz on the previous vid i ran at 2.66ghz so the second scvore was bigger due to the overclock on the cpu. if you do the same your score will also improve at the moment you have a bottleneck caused by the cpu not beinfg fast enough to keep up with the gfx
