I have the same model, same problem sometimes. The problem is not stable. From what I know it's a hardware problem with the digitizer and you have to replace the digitizer. No other way!
I have got the same problem. I've tried to calibrate it, flash with new ROM (I tried about 5) , tried to change registry with default display values, but nothing works.
How did you fix it?
I am afraid that this is HW problem and display needs to be changed.

I got the exact same problem! I try to re-sync my screen in options and it will fix it for an hour or so.... and then I get this again! Anyone know a fix?
ive got no prob wit ma diamond after updating ma ROM.....b4 updatin, der wasnt any prob as well, itz juz dat itz runnin so damn smooth nw afta tweakin a lil bit =]
first thing that came to mind is re-aling the screen but if it wont fix it maybe a full restart of the ROM will fix it im not sure but its allways worth a try. good luck with it tell me if it fixed it or how if you allready did

this isnt a cheap knock off, this is a real touch diamond..
i had exactly the same problem on mine, HTC replaced it and now my 2nd one is doing it too..
it seems to be a common problem according to the HTC representative i spoke to :/

maybe if you reset the whole device?
