Great video man. I feel for these kids because I myself grew up in an evangelical christian church. I began to have doubt late teenage years and finally broke away from religion, and reject the belief in god in my early 20s. It was hard.
I love the part on the Apostle's Creed. I was raised Catholic and even when I was still trying really hard to believe in god, I was always amazed how I could say it in church but not when I was alone. I then realized that it was because I wasn't thinking about what I was saying- I was just following the crowd like a zombie. I asked my mother once to help me with it (this was when I was learning for Confirmation class-which I was forced through btw) & she said "I can't do it- I'm not in church"
@JeanneMcFadden Many weak-minded fools were indoctrinated by the left-wing press into thinking incompetent Obama was the Messiah. That's how we ended up with an idiot in the White House.
Every time I see that clip of that kid from Jesus Camp in the end I just feel like I should find him somehow and tell him that he should never feel bad for simply asking questions. I also can't help but notice the expression of that girl at 9:05. She looks scared and she's cutting her glance to the adults every now and then, possibly to look at their reaction so that she'll know what to think about this. I hate that they've taught them to think like that.
I think my most cherished belief is the belief that reason can answer questions, I think it would take some massive brainwashing or something to get me to say "there are 5 lights" when I can only see four, like on startrek, or 2+2=5, like in that movie 1984. I suspect religion fills a great need in our society though, and think that people should be allowed to believe whatever they want to believe, as long as they mind their own business.
If ppl think they need religion and their lives would be empty without it then yes, I agree with you, so be it. But unfortunately the main religions (Judaeo-Christian and Islam) do not mind their own business, and have been responsible for untold murder, prejudice and intolerance for the past 2000 yrs including today. For this reason it needs to be challenged and ppl need to realise where their hatred is coming from.
@Jammieg001 i honestly cant find 1 good reason to keep religion. as an ex brain washed believer i can tell you its a crutch at best to make those feel safe and stable. the trueth is maybe they are not safe and they are very unstable. if allowed to cling to this beleaf 1 of 2 things will happen.1 they get ahold of themselves and come back to reality and deal with the situation or 2 they fall into a deeper pit of being unstable and live in delusion and can become dangerous.it dosnt help in the end
If it's human to believe - then we can CHOOSE what we want to believe in - but according to you, we don't have free will, because a book says so, we are in fact, possessed by Satan.. We are sinners, we deserve to die, and burn.
It's human to believe. If you throw away the idea of faith, and the ideas that are based on faith because they're imperfect, you risk doing harm to your own self.
Humans may have a propensity to believe, but the rate of ppl who don't believe in God is increasing in the world and there r already so many. Besides, im assuming u don't believe in fairies, pixies, dragons, or Gods of other religions do u? Is not believing in those things harming urself?
I love this video.
It explains everything so well.
Thanks! :)

Yep. That's the thing in ''We believe'' NO ONE KNOWS!
And yet no one in religion questions anything!
That's the sad part.

This is a great video. Now could we take this a step further and break the indoctrinations of our patriotism and culture?
