jesse ventiura was on the alex jones show yesterday and he said he didnt support the third party movement anymore. His solution now is just to get rid of the parties and make them nothing more than lobbyists. What a great eventual solution. It is great because he said because of the rules of the two party system the third party would have to act corrupt also just to play along.
people don't understand that the money raised by the politicians and not spent on the election is kept by the politicians..being a politician is one of the fastest ways to become rich..it's not just the salaries but all the money on the side.. the payoffs the gifts the backdoor scams to relatives...all the republicans and a 3rd of dems have been bought by the corporate money
One is a Libertarian on the GOP ticket. The other is a Libertarian who ran on the Independent ticket. They say the VP is the attack dog, well with the soft-spoken Ron Paul, I can think of no better attack dog than the loud former wrestler, Jesse Ventura!
We need an honorable & strong third party in this country right now before Obama & the Dems and the Reps destroy it with their socialism, lies and stupidity!
What he said about taking personal responsibility [at ~ 3:00 ] was what all Americans should be all about. He doesnt play up to the public like every other politician. He is 1st rate. That's why I would be glad to vote for him.
Most Americans don't fully embrace Democrats or Republicans but don't feel there are any other choices. Issues matter, not political parties. They either choose a crapy leader or just don't vote. Jesse represents common sense politics. If he runs for 2012, more Americans will have an incentive to become active voters.
Third Parties in Presidential elections really don't that great of a chance because of the electoral system and the Democratic/Republican controlled ballots and debates. Concentrate on Congressional seats and governor races as well as local elections. I agree though. Don't waste your vote on McCain or Obama.
There's a big difference between the wall of East Berlin and the wall of the United States. East Berlin used a wall to trap people inside, while our wall is used to defend our nation. We are not "scared of brown people." We are not anti-immigration. We simply need to pay closer attention to the people that enter our country, in a post 9-11 world. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Don't count your walls before they're built. I remember the time when you didn't need a passport to visit Canada. How long will it be before you need "travel papers" to cross state lines?
BTW, do Mexican semi drivers need a passport to enter the U S?
why doesn't america just open its borders to everyone in the world??? Because Jesse likes his little (Gated??) community in Mexico, he wants to force all of us to live with these third world people who are unable to accomplish pretty much anything in their own country. I like Jesse, but I oppose mass immigration for so many reasons, and I wish he would do a little research on it like he did on 911.
If you did your research the Mexican government is pretty much the same as ours. But they subsidize everything, which gives them cheaper materials and services. People who live along the border go into Mexico to get gas, doctor visits, and dental visits because it is cheaper. Have you ever been to Mexico? You might look down on third world, but when our dollar collapses and our economy fails we will be just them, and hardly anyone will know how to survive. You could learn a thing or two.
Icosare unfairly characterized the Mexican people, but I also need to address you marissacalderon. Subsidizing industries does NOT make their products cheaper! It only hides the costs from ignorant consumers like yourself. The costs are paid through taxes and the government, which leads to wasteful spending, which drains resources, which leads to rationing, and human suffering. It's YOU that needs to read a basic introduction to Free Market Economics! Stop spreading your Marxist poison.
Did I say that I think we should subsidize our government? I don't think I stated that. I said that their way of life is not so different from ours. Marxist? I guess your another "anti-socialist", well then I guess you should tell the US government to forfeit your Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Those are all single payer systems, or "socialized" as you call it. And while at it, you should tell the US government and the Military that they shouldn't have single payer health care.
They do not subsidize doctors of dentists, which is precisely the reason why they are so cheap. Also, I wouldn't exactly peg the gasoline as being subsidized either, it's simply a national oil industry selling the gasoline at below world price, which is one of the few nationalization moves that have actually benefited mexico by preventing inflation.

I think he and Ron Paul part ways when it comes to border security.
I think JV might just be unaware that the illegal alien/border problem is not a race issue as much as a deliberate design to destroy national identity so the NAU can be brought about more easily.
That said I'll probably vote for him in four years as I doubt RP will run.
Was joking, yes, but I really didn't know what NAU meant, so thanks a lot for the clarification. I googled it and looked in wikipedia, but couldn't find it. Well, since I know first hand how much the EU sucks, I have to say that just fantasizing about a NAU is pure horror. Like George Orwell's 1984, rewritten by Stephen King and Clive Barker.
Found it in wiki, too, but only after knowing what the letters mean. First I searched for "NAU"...
Well, you can be happy to have something to defend yerselves over in the USA. The EU is getting morwe 'n more f'd up everyday. Today I received a letter with my personal tax-ID number. It's one number per citizen for the whole life, even newborn babies get one (cuz maybe they have to pay some taxes in the first few weeks of their lives).
JV is cool, but has he ever spoken in public about the NAU?
this they need to do. America is far to diverse to select between 2 people who are completely opposite. Most people don't even know who is running as an independent.
jesse you the man .... you should be the next president .... please run for the position ...
thank you for serving in nam ... i am from from the same war .... i was orphaned there.
you are amazing because you speak without fear & speak up for the people ... i have been watching you speak & wow what presence ... & command ...
you rock!

Look up plural voting system. Until there is a switch to a proportional voting system, you will have two parties.
