I believe the best speaker is Totem The One Limited Edition and the Totem build only 2000 speaker. In the USA it is $3595.00 pair.
To express the multi-dimensional layers of true artistry and the deeper hidden language that music portrays. No extraordinary speaker can come close to delivering the message in an unabridged way. I believe The One speaker does. It was created as the symbol of Totem's 20 years of devotion.
Why is it in every video with an audio system when there is music playing, every douche bag just has to know: "WHATS THE SONG????". It's in every damn video. Every one!
l have some JSE Infinite Slope Model 2 speakers. They have Dynaudio drivers in them....very nice. I just replaced the tweeters with Jantzens. I really cant tell the difference....I will say that good tweeters are the key.
Nice speakers!!!! I have a pair of Silverline SR 12's. Not sure about the B&W guy below...he obviously hasn't tested the likes of Dynaudio, Silverline, Proac, Spendor, etc.
Please play Jennifer Warns The Hunter track 8 "Way down deep". I have found that Dynaudio sound brilliant with instrumentals but woolly and with some vocals especially with Jennifer Warns.
The Dynaudio speaker that I have listened to was the Contour 5.4 and Jennifer was not clear and back in the sound stage. Your Focus 140 might perform better.
OMG! Audiophile dog! I have audiophile cat. Cat likes Katie Melua and always sleeps on the top of amplifier. Amplifier is always extremely overheated, but kitty satisfaction is absolutely more important:)
Don't know, you migh be starting a flame war here :) Dynaudio has a different 'color', and it's my personal favorite. There's a certain depth to the soundstage that I've never heard on any other speaker brand.
Are you kidding? B&W is one of the most overrated AND overpriced speaker companies I've ever seen. My Energy RC-70s kill anything in the CM series. You can't put B&W next to Dynaudio. Dynaudio is in a class of its own!
when i did this it immediately stopped a bias toward the right hand side in the volume and snapped the image straight to the centre and the speakers vanish and you get a wall of sound. it was odd - i thought at first that the higher volume to the right was an electronic fault so i was swapping cables speakers etc etc - they really need to face straight out, 6 feet apart [or less] and use string!!
Hey nice speakers - but the room doesnt look all that big! nevertheless, try the dyns facing straight out and a couple of feet from the wall - the other thing you gotta try is to make sure that each speaker is the same distance away from you - use a piece of string with a weight where u sit and measure the distance so they are the same [the speakers might end up different distances from the wall but thats ok] - it depends on the room i suppose. i know this sounds a bit daft but try it
Ive got some Audience 42's and wonder how much more musical these are compared to my 42's?

Wow... what an absolutely gorgeous speaker. Would that be a bit of musical fidelity driving them? Beautiful setup.

@binkleybloom Yes, it is a pair of MF A.32CR Pre/Power driving them. Thanks!

How are the lows, on these?
TheElJosh 1 year ago
@TheElJosh
The lows are lush and organic. Definitely not as tight as the bass of a Contour, but definitely warmer.

Dynaudio is proof a company needs not outsouce to be competitive and beat the competition(total quality and integration).
The Focus while not expensive by Dynaudio's measure are still gorgeous and sound as good as they look!
