The lead singer and Eddie Kendricks have similar sounds - so rhythmic - hard to sing that high, maintain the key, not go off pitch. My daughter thought it WAS Eddie Kendricks - had to school her.

I still have it from the sixties it was played in all the great soul clubs up and down the UK in the sixties FANTASTIC RECORD!!!! brings back some really cool memories

It wasn't a hit it was considered quite a rare record, soul clubs in the UK in the sixties played motown and the more obscure and rarer imports on home grown US small town labels although I wouldn't class 'I'm gonna miss you' as obscure or rare as such it was certainly not a mainstream record. And I was more than once offered three or four times as much as what I had oriuginally paid for it
