Yes, allthough is not so noticeable as that. Black hair grabs better the string, wich is more satisfatory to play certain authors. Some players use a mix of white and black hair and that is called cofee and milk, at least in my neighborhood.

A true artist! Inspiring. I use a German bow. GK articulates wonderfully. Slow bow is a key to his sound.

hmm...

i allways want to have a look at his bow so i can see his legato play... how he uses the way of the bow... u get my idea? dont know how to explain it...anyway sadly its out of sync. but great music anyways

the bow is most of his approach. He plays with a VERY slow bow draw with no pressing down. He "pulls" the bow from shoulder and much slower than most. He plays closer to the bridge as well.
