Hey! OK, so my hilarious, funny, doofus of a goldendoodle Teddy recently passed away. We just shared a bond i never would have thought of! He passed away of a bad infection and i miss him so much! I know that its early but i need another Dood in my life, i know that he would not be mad if i would get another dog but he would have wished i would have gotten him when he could play with him! If any of you guys know any rescue dog sites where i could find a young doodle, please help!

No dog is 100% hypoallergenic. All dogs shed,its a proven fact. They might shed less, but these dogs do shed. That whole "this dog doesn't shed" is a scam. By the way, People who have allergies can infact still be allergic to these dogs.
Any doodle, other than your standard poodle is a mutt. People should not be breeding these dogs when there are so many being euthanized each day in shelters.
Take a visit to your local shelter on euthanasia day. & maybe you will change your view on doodles

Designer mutts, do not have a purpose unlike pure-breds. Pure breds can be show dogs, be part of the AKC, and work in agility.

How would one puppy being born effect another dog in a shelter, I think you are trying to say that, right? By creating one more dog, your are destroying another one. People that are buying these mutts, could be saving the life of a mutt in a shelter, but now it is going to be euthanized.
I hardly think they destroy a dog just because another is born. Do they just say "hey so and so had a litter time to kill some dogs!" Alot of shelters don't kill unless they have somethign wrong with them that makes them unatoptable.

You should be embarrassed and rembember that your Golden was once not considered a purebred.

People argue that mutt breeders only care about money and not the puppies - I'm against all bad breeders myself who don't get the necessary health checks and are only in it for money, but that goes for people who breed purebreds too! People also argue that every mutt you buy, you are killing a shelter dog, but isn't that the case with purebreds too? I buy mutts from breeders the same reason people buy purebreds from breeders, To meet the parents, check healthchecks etc.
@MsLabMom I don't believe it's a fair argument for people to make. I'm getting a new puppy in a few weeks, though. Yes, a MUTT, for anyone out there that's curious. Not because I want a cute designer dog that I can 'aww' over and then abandon... I want a long-term, loving dog who is as healthy and happy as possible, so that both the dog and I can have the best quality of life (The owners needs should be kept in mind too). Saying that, if I could bring every shelter dog home, I absolutely would.

There are THOUSANDS of dogs in shelters. Each time someone buys one of these mutts, another few get euthanized.

They LOOSE money because when they breed their dogs, they need weekly vet check ups. All of that adds up. Not to mention the food bills.
Go to yahoo answers, and ask any questions to the dog section (its under pets). They will certainly take care of you.

@iLoVeMyGolden94 I own two! The shed as much as a poodle does. Not all doodles are guaranteed to shed as such. They are a lot more reasons aside from this one factor in choosing a doodle. But try to understand that any dog is a preference to each individual. It may not be your taste but why do feel compelled to share your un-educated thoughts on You Tube, get a blog? You should be embarrassed and rembember that your Golden was once not considered a purebred.

@iLoVeMyGolden94 It is a Mutt, and you say that like it is a bad thing. Mutts are proven to have a lot less issues then purebreds. Besides your Golden wasnt always a purebred you retard. If you can honestly look at one of those puppies and say that they were not meant to live, or dont deserve to live,then you're just an evil person. If you really think about it, you're a mutt yourself, asshole.

@Scottevil619 Agreed. People argue that mutt breeders only care about money and not the puppies - I'm against all bad breeders myself who don't get the necessary health checks and are only in it for money, but that goes for people who breed purebreds too! People also argue that every mutt you buy, you are killing a shelter dog, but isn't that the case with purebreds too? I buy mutts from breeders the same reason people buy purebreds from breeders, To meet the parents, check healthchecks etc.

@MsLabMom I don't believe it's a fair argument for people to make. I'm getting a new puppy in a few weeks, though. Yes, a MUTT, for anyone out there that's curious. Not because I want a cute designer dog that I can 'aww' over and then abandon... I want a long-term, loving dog who is as healthy and happy as possible, so that both the dog and I can have the best quality of life (The owners needs should be kept in mind too). Saying that, if I could bring every shelter dog home, I absolutely would.

When they grow up they get curly, as puppies they all look like they have straight hair ;)

@beavboyz not all the time. mine has a mildy wavy coat and she's 5. When we comb her, her hair is straight again.
